Monkey man, explain to me what player isn't cocky?
By the way, just in case you didn't know, the Heat won the championship and Wade is the MVP.
You don't like Miami? We don't particularly care...

Posted by: JordanMang

Dwayne Wade is a pussy. I hate that commerical "fall down 7 times, get up 8" about his fucken shoe. If they were paying me 7 figures a year I'd be getting my ass up off the floor too.

Posted by: lnvanry

I like miami...not a fan though....I do not like Haslem or Posey. THey are the typical "yeah, boy...in ya face" street ballers.

growing up in Chicago I can tell on camera he was never cocky....but on the floor or in the gym it was a different story.

I don't remember ever calling you any names. No need to go into insulting others big man, and where exactly did I say that you hated Miami? Please read what you wrote "I don't like Miami"

By the way, Did you ever watch Jordan play??? He was one of the biggest talkers in the game, and by the way, I was and am a big Jordan fan, but I think that closing his eyes to shoot a free throw, is the epitome of cocky. So please get your facts straight.....See? I didn't insult you...Can we now play nice???

I have never forgotten that. Have you ever tried doing that after without looking foolish?

Posted by: lnvanry

he was that good.

How about Antoine walker crying his eyes out...sorry I'm not a big fan of him. He shoots the ball wayyy too much. I'm happy for Shaq, Wade, and Riley (even though the was a Knicks coach during the 90's)....and the miami fans since its there first championship.

I am not a big fan of Walker's either, is that dude out of control or what? Maybe if I was holding on to the trophy I may or may not cry. However, if I was holding on to his paycheck, I'd shed a few tears too.....

Posted by: lnvanry

I wonder what kind of bonus they get for winning the championship?

Posted by: JordanMang

I wonder how much money he's gonna make in the long run for his team winning the championship.

...thus, the crying....

The hell with the trophy, give the man his bonus.....

Bad news, I have met Mourning. He is a prick...Don't get me wrong, I will root for the Prick rather than the good guy if my team wins...
His charity and his kidney problem do make you feel for him though...
By the way, guess who was in the Heat locker room in the middle of the champagne bath and I am sure you'll get a kick about this Invanry....Mr. Scottie Pippen.....

Yeah you can't him. Its nice to see him and payton win one. I'm not a huge fan of payton but it sucks to see good players not get a title like the greatest player of all time, John Stockton

Posted by: fantasma62

Well folks, it was a pleasure talking to you all, even Monkey Man.....
Hey big man, I'll save you a seat for the parade....No hard feelings I hope....

Posted by: lnvanry

yeah...chalk one up for pippen. He's one of those guys that can't let go of the game. He does a lot of commentary these days. Some of those Bulls players can do no wrong IMO....Jordan, Pippen, Grant, Armstrong, Kerr, and yes Rodman....I think that the Jordan, Pippen, Rodman, Kerr/Harper combo was the best team EVER. (besides the original dream team of course)

So what made Alonzo a prick?

Maybe I can't fall asleep after all....

A few years ago, I ran into him and Chris Gattling in Coconut Grove (nice party place in Miami then). Gattling was the nicest guy in the world. Spoke to us for a good while. 'Zo on the other hand looked at us (who were not asking for any autographs) and as we told Zo, "Hey, way to go in that last game". He simply stared at our group with that famous Zo stare and said: "Why don't you just get the Fuck away from me?" Mind you, we were sitting on our table and saw him walking into the bar. Like I said, we never asked for an autograph, in fact, I paid for mine.
Then again this happened back in 1998, I believe. He may have changed since he had his transplant.
This happened on my birthday, maybe it impacted me more because of the way Gattling was and the way he was. Maybe since it was my birthday, it impacted me the wrong way. Maybe I am the prick...that could be it...

Leader in assists steals and a class act, John Stockton is the best backcourt general ever.

Here I go name dropping. Stockton was the nicest guy. I used to own a cleaners that used to service a big hotel in Miami. Most teams would stay there when they were playing any Miami team.
Stockton's jacket was damaged during his road trip and we fixed it for him. He wanted to pay me whatever I wanted to fix it. When I said no charge, he told me, please deliver it to me, I have something for you (this whole convo occurred on the phone). I got there, and he greeted me with an autographed NBA basketball...I almost pissed my pants. No wait, I did. I didn't think he would personally come and thank me, but he did, thus, the big stain in the front of my pants...Awesome guy...
How have I met these folks? Right place, right time....

Hey I like Stockton and all, but I don't think he was the best player ever. I think the best ever was Tree Rollins...

Posted by: lnvanry

Okay...he's a class act too...except on the court when he was losing to the Bulls I just can't stand the Jazz.

Old Jordan without that amzing pushoff of his Malone and Stockton might have one.

If the leauge wasnt rigged they would have won.

D-Wade is the man. I haven't seen any signs on or off court of him being a punk or cocky. I don't really mind anyone on Miami, but I wasn't too fond of Posey's hard foul on Hinrich in the Bulls series. Anyhow, Miami deserves the trophy. I personally thought it would go to game 7, but when the Heat went on that end of the first half run, I knew it was over. The Mavs just got outplayed. They'll get one soon though.

Wade is one of the most humble players in the league! How anyone can think he's a punk or cocky is beyond me. Oh yeah, I'm glad he's on my side too.

It will be interesting what Miami does with this team next year. They'll need to replace Zo, Payton, and Walker. No matter, as long as they have the big guy and D-Wade they'll be the favorite in the east.

I think the best player ever should be all around good. John Stockton wasn't. Players like Jordan, Wade, LeBron could/can do everything and take over games by themselves. I actually rank Malone higher than Stockton.

Yeah, Michael Jordan was cocky. He thought he was better than everyone else that played the game. In fact he knew he was better than everyone else in the game. He proved that time and time again. If anyone ever deserved to be cocky, it was Michael Jordan.

As far as Dwayne Wade is concerned, he is very humble on and off the court. He is a badass player, and if he has the drive, he will be one of the greatest players ever.

Shit at least the nets got VC out of Mourning. All the Raps got was a lighter wallet about $10 million lighter. All because he apparently couldn't play again.(well that and he didn't want to play here)

What a crock of shit. He is an arrogant fuck ass. That will get his.
