Power Matrix?

I've used the power matrix on and off for about 2 years. I hot it out of musclemag when they printed it once in an article. When I start it, my bench seems to increase quite nicely, but I eventually top off. Recently I got to the block where I'm supposed to bench 345X1 for three sets and I can't seem to gain enough to do it. I eventually gave up on it after trying the same block for like 4 weeks. Is there a way to get past that sticky point?

Since nobody will help me here, basically what I'm asking, is what is the best way to get past a plateau with regard to chest?????

Help me, I need to gain.......

First, how is your form?

Second, at which point of the lift are you failing?

A lot of people have success with block-style training, but I think the premise is a little stupid for bodybuilding, and even for specific strength training. Everyone is different with regard to the percentage of their max that they can put up for reps, as well as their ability to quickly gain strength. If you gain strength quickly at first, but then are unable to hit what the program says you are "supposed" to hit, maybe you should find a new method. Trying the exact same thing 4 weeks in a row is insanity - you're spinning your wheels.

I prefer to just have PR's in certain rep ranges and work on breaking those whenever I bench or do any other exercise.

The best way to get past a plateau for the development of any muscle is to get stronger on the exercises that work that muscle. Obviously your bench is stalled right now, but once that gets moving again, so should your chest. Or you could focus on gaining strength on inclines, dumbbell presses, machine presses, etc..

you tried it, then tried it again, then tried it again, then tried it again.....it go something like that?

I would try something else. lots of info out there to break a plateau, lots of ways to do it. you have to work you weak area of the lift though, no doubt about it.
