Is cooking with even EVO with a person with liver/bile acid problems/low antioxident not a good Idea due to the chance that it could cause possible lipid perioxidation or ths is chopfuck as trouble would put it ? Just want to know the facts..getting mixed information
I also soaked some raw pumpkin , sunflower, almonds over night in water and then let them dry and stored them in fridge. Do I have to worry about them going bad.
Thx

I think its not going to cause excess lipid peroxidation if you keep to a moderate heat setting and don't over-cook your food.
Its probably worse to use old oil; replace it every 6 months or so after its been opened if you haven't finished the bottle. Store it away from heat and sunlight.

I cook with olive oil everyday.
It is always pretty fresh though, just refilled my bottle.

well when I cook my veggies I HAD a habit of letting it come to boil then turn it down so I have been over cooking with it for a long as time and it sits right next to the stove even in a tinted bottle sunlight does hit through the windows all day long this has been going on for past 2 years. I through the old bottle away and got a fresh one with tinted glass and keep it in pantry in the dark and will just steam veggies from now on in water and use the EVO for putting in shakes and salad dressing to alleviate the problem... When you think you are doing everything so healthy its actually can harm you

Yes, it makes me come to the conclusion that everything is bad for you and causes ailments.

What is lipid peroxidation? Is it pretty much when a fatty acid is brokrn down into water and a free radical
Posted by: hardasnails1973
When poly and mono fats get exposed to oxygen, high temperatures and changes chemically to a free radical. Cholesterol can also be oxidized to So take your vitamin E and you wil be fine

How much vitamin E? My multi has vitamin E, I don't know if it is enough though.

Every food that you eat you need to think about how it was made? That must be so stressing.

NO it actually simple, just remove use ghee, and organic butter for cooking with and use olive oil, EFAS on salads and shakes. its only stressing if you let it stress you. Right now what I am doing is narrowing down the variable one by one to prevent reoccurance. i eat nothing but whole food or whey isolate shakes. i have not had pizza, cakes in 3 years. I do what it takes to get better and have no excuses for not doing it.
