my left trap is bigger than my left......how do I even it out?

Posted by: TJ Cline

DB shrugs....skip the bigger side for about a month.

Your left is bigger than your left huh? Hehe, sorry, I had to.

Shrugging motions like what Foreman suggested. I don't suggest skipping a trap though, you will probably never have them perfectly even anyway. No one is symmetrical. Look at top level bodybuilders, they aren't symmetrical either.

A lot of the time your mind exaggerates the difference. Have you had a second opinion? I bet its not as noticeable as you think!

If i were u what i would do is instead of squeezing both tras tightly at the top position of the shrugg (like you should to get a full cintraction) just squeeze the smaller trap and not the other. This way your bigger trap will still get a workout but the smaller one will grow more because you are contracting it and not the other.

hope that helps

QFT I have to do this for my cavles, for some reason my righty just blitzes the left if not.

Maybe you're just flexing/posing wrong in front of the mirror.

What's it called when you sort of push out your traps? It's like doing the opposite of flaring your lats. I can do it one at a time and it can make one trap like 3x bigger than the other.

ya cole,amn../..........i think that's waht it is. Just checked.

Dumbbell shrugs rock for my traps.

I do nothing for my traps specifically.

Wow I have never seen anyone with one trap lg"er then the other. Listen Just train your traps. I wouldn't advice just training one only. As foreman siad use DB's. But use a heavier one for the side that's not develope as much. Do the same amount of reps for both

to emphasize the upper traps perform shrugs with your arms up overhead. this will allow the scapula to upwardly rotate and effectively take the rhomboids and other scapula stabilizers out of the movement and allow you to effectively target the upper traps.

nope. A hise shrug is when the bar is on your back. I mean like overhead, like the end of a overhead press.

For people who want a visual here is a clip of Overhead Shrugs. On the right hand side under other.
