From the 10 things to do to gain mass article from the training forum, i've read that its much more important to eat fats than carbs. How much fat should i eat and i was wondering if food like crispy chicken and fried food was good?

Up to 30% of your calories should come from fat. Try to steer clear from saturated fats (the stuff you listed). Try to get lots of EFAs in your diet

You can supplement with oil blends and fish oil caps, etc.

Not unless you enjoy a future with blocked arteries.

I believe it's been broken down before as

50-55% Monos
30-35% Polys (with 2:1 omega-6mega-3)
10-15% saturates

with the total fat making up around 20% of your total daily cals.

Here's a good chart to bookmark:

good fats:
olive oil, nuts, seeds, fish oils, flax seed/oils, avocados

(in moderation,...or on bulks, include...heavy cream, butter)

Olive oil is best served cold on salads...if you have to cook with it, best used with moderate heat. Baking or braising meats are your best option.
butter and heavy creams are in the saturated fat category.

Measuring out quantities is your best option initially, so you have a sense of portion sizes.

At 15 though.... I wouldn't get too worked up over diet. Just eat sensible and keep fats mostly in the Monos and polys...have some fish oil caps and keep the butter to a reasonable level.

on the 10 mass builidng tips article on the training forum, it said butter and heavy cream is good. And yea ur right about the olive oil so i'll pour some on the lettuce in my subs.

Other than that I think i'll just stick with eating alot of nuts.
