Ive been training for a little over a year. Do you think age 16 is to young to start p/rr/shock since it is for when uve reached plateau?

P/RR/S is not age dependent. The shock week is not suggested for beginners. So the rest of the program can certainly be used by a 16 yearold person.

You should just start with the basics until your newbie gains stop.

Just go with total body 2-3 times a week or upper-lower-upper-lower.

There's no reason you can't do P/RR/S. The idea of the program is to trick your muscles into constant growth, which is what everyone here is trying to do, more or less. As someone else suggested, the shock aspect may not be necessary until you hit a plateau, but I'd still recommend doing it because it was designed as part of the program, and the program works.

I think gopro's own recommendation is to have something liek 6 months to 1 year of resistance training under your belt before you begin, so give it a go. You can ask him in his sticky how he recommends you start too; he may suggest leaving out shock weeks for now.
