Is DNP illegal or what? I heard it's comparable to rat poison.

As far as I know it is illegal, unless something has changed. You will wake up in a puddle of your own sweat throughout the night. Its a pretty insane.

Its legal, but not legal as a dieting aid. Its still used in gardening, and staining metals. I made some nice permanent marks at my place thanks to a couple pinholes in the foil it was sitting on, it basically spreads on its own even through containers. Yellow gets everywhere.
I ran through 10 grams of it and didn't notice any positive benefit, so I trashed what I had. Friend gave me a bunch from his personal stash, which I previously implied had stained a good deal of his apartment through the materials they are stored in.

It's a tricky substance. At the right dose, it can be effective. Lots of sides to counter, though.
