I dont' know how much time you might have, or how much work you would want to put into helping steve's grandkids (and their parents) understand nutrition and healthy living a little bit better, but there are a ton of books and kid-friendly materials at this website. I thought about this stuff when you were talking about it this morning. Here are three areas from the catalog that might have something useful for you. EDUCATED KIDS: http://www.ncescatalog.com/shopdispl...=Educated+Kids For the kids: Dr. Seuss - Oh the things you can do, that are good for you! I Will Never Not Eat a Tomato Taking Weight Problems to School Roxy's Eat Right Games Where does my food go? For the parents: Healthy Snacks for Kids Secrets of Feeding a Healthy Family The Healthy Lunchbox Your Child's Weight: Helping without harming Underage and Overweight ----------- CHILDHOOD NUTRITION: http://www.ncescatalog.com/shopdispl...cy%2FChildhood WAY TO GO, KIDS! is a teaching program to teach overweight and underactive kids ------------ PRE-TEENS AND TEENS: http://www.ncescatalog.com/shopdispl...DTeens%2FTeens Especially this book, I'm So, Like, Fat! |

I was just having a conversation abotu this very topic with a client and my boss this morning. Her grandkids from her husband's side are obese and inactive, lethargic and have birthday parties at McDonald's. Her grandkids from her side are athletic, eat healthy food, have tons of energy and are pretty much the complete opposite of her husband's grandkids.
