I was wondering about something I saw during the Cardinals game. In the outfield, there were a bunch of K's hanging from the stands. I know the normal K's are strikeouts, but what are the ones facing the oposite direction?

I have always wondered that myself, could it be caught or swing and miss.
They could be just drunk.

Backwards K means that the batter was caught looking or did not swing.
