ENTJs have a natural tendency to marshall and direct. This may be expressed with the charm and finesse of a world leader or with the insensitivity of a cult leader. The ENTJ requires little encouragement to make a plan. One ENTJ put it this way... "I make these little plans that really don't have any importance to anyone else, and then feel compelled to carry them out." While "compelled" may not describe ENTJs as a group, nevertheless the bent to plan creatively and to make those plans reality is a common theme for NJ types.

ENTJs are often "larger than life" in describing their projects or proposals. This ability may be expressed as salesmanship, story-telling facility or stand-up comedy. In combination with the natural propensity for filibuster, our hero can make it very difficult for the customer to decline.

TRADEMARK: -- "I'm really sorry you have to die." (I realize this is an overstatement. However, most Fs and other gentle souls usually chuckle knowingly at this description.)

ENTJs are decisive. They see what needs to be done, and frequently assign roles to their fellows. Few other types can equal their ability to remain resolute in conflict, sending the valiant (and often leading the charge) into the mouth of hell. When challenged, the ENTJ may by reflex become argumentative. Alternatively (s)he may unleash an icy gaze that serves notice: the ENTJ is not one to be trifled with.

Women are my down fall...Give 110% and end up getting fucked in the end. Mind games I have become a master of and can sense and percieve things based on people behavioral patterns body language. Also too I freak people out with ability to precieve peoples thoughts and know things about them no one else knows. Thorugh mediaition I have learned to take it to next level even though you do not believe me just ask some of people i am very close with. The mind is a very powerful things and through deep mediation over past few years i have learned to open my mind up to explore areas that we are just learning how to tap.

Yes, I know, some of the questions are hard to answer to your satisfaction.

I end up choosing the answer that is the most true.

For instance:

It's difficult to get you excited

Is a tough one. Give me the right topic or situation, and I can be very animated and enthusiastic...but, the conditional makes it a "no" type response.

Try approaching it that way, not relying on absolutes. I'm guessing you are an INJ type as well. I'd like to see how you score..

Thats because on the computer you can be who you want to be with out any fear because you are hiding behind the computer screen. Go into chat rooms and see how many people are like open books and just are on there to just have some one to talk to. I swear I feel like a damn shrink some times. I mean it got so bad that I had to talk a kid out of suicide with a loaded gun on cam. Some times a feel like God put me on this earth to come into peoples life to make life changes.

Best is when you go into muscle chat rooms and half of the girls are guys pretending to be them. They send you a picture and its some hot chick but you know its a dude unless they have a cam. I love that one LOL.

No. Reality is synthetic. A good part of early life is spent mapping out perceptions to what we are told is reality (abstractions that we can't sample directly) - sort of validation of what we perceive as being "true" (agreed upon by others). Its why, we when we first see a landscape, foreign and new to our immediate experience, its so novel, even if we have see it in pictures. Moutains (I mean, the big ones). Giant Redwoods of the West Coast. and the ancient old growth forests of the Idhao and parts of Canada are other good examples). Most of these involve scales of perception we may not be used to experiencing, first hand.

Socrate's idea
Objective reality and what our minds understand of reality are separated by a great mental divide (the general consensus of Greek philosophy by that time). But rational inquiry, meticulously but humbly pursued (his dialectical method), could close this divide. In using rational methods of inquiry, human mind and soul could be brought to discover transcendent (thus absolute) truth and goodness--and personal happiness.

Extraversion vs. Introversion
Where do you get your energy?

Extraverts' energy is directed primarily outward, towards people and things outside of themselves. Introverts' energy is primarily directed inward, towards their own thoughts, perceptions and reactions. Therefore, Extraverts tend to be more naturally active, expressive, social and interested in many things, whereas Introverts tend to be more reserved, private, cautious and interested in fewer interactions, but with greater depth and focus.

Extraverts generally prefer spending time actively involved with the people and things around them. Generally they will prefer to celebrate with “the whole crowd.”

Those with an E preference tend to:

• have high energy.
• think out loud.
• “put their foot in their mouth”
• work with TV or radio on.
• easily engage in conversations.
• have many “close friends.”

On what basis do you make decisions?

Thinkers make decisions based primarily on objective and impersonal criteria -- what makes the most sense and what is logical. Feelers make decisions based primarily on their personal values and how they feel about the choices. So, Thinkers tend to be cool, analytical, and are convinced by logical reasoning. Feelers tend to be sensitive, empathetic, and are compelled by extenuating circumstances and a constant search for harmony.

So Judgers tend to be organized and productive while Perceivers tend to be flexible, curious and nonconforming.

Type Profiles: SJ Temperament (“Guardians”)

ESTJ: Practical, realistic, matter-of-fact, with a natural head for business or mechanics. Not interested in abstract theories; want learning to have a direct and immediate application. Like to organize and run activities. Often make good administrators; are decisive, quickly move to implement decisions; take care of routine details.

People of this type tend to be energetic, friendly and outspoken; productive, organized and efficient; realistic and sensible but often skeptical about new or untested ideas; honest and direct to the point of bluntness; quick decision makers, opinionated, traditional, serious and accountable. If you have an S preference and are communicating with someone with an N preference...

• Make every effort to take the S's literally. Do not read multiple levels of meaning into an S's statement. If you are not sure which they might mean, ask them if your perception is correct.
• Help them to identify what details you need and do not need (e.g., "We can work on that part later. What I need to know now is...").
• Be cautious in making suggestions which, in their current form, are not straightforward and feasible.
• If you must deviate from the agenda, do so respectfully and return to it when possible.
• Make an effort to be respectful and tolerant of the S's reliance on and masterful use of established procedures and routines. They are the ones who keep the system running smoothly.
• Remember that your idealism is fine, but what most often influences an S is seeing the practicality and realism of an idea.

TYPE TIPS FOR RESOLVING
CONFLICT

EXTRAVERTS: STOP, LOOK, AND LISTEN. E’s always think they can talk their way through - and out of - most conflicts. The very thing they find most difficult is what may be needed most: listening to the other person’s point of view.

INTROVERTS: EXPRESS YOURSELF. As difficult as it often is, and sometimes seemingly redundant, it still is imperative to tell your side of the story - and maybe even tell it again until the other person has heard it. Where conflict is concerned, a little overkill can help. Make sure you get a hearing.

SENSORS: THERE’S MORE TO CONFLICTS THAN JUST THE FACTS. Sometimes, though it seems a waste of energy and may appear to cloud the issue, it is important to look at extenuating circumstances. If someone always disagrees with you no matter what you say, there may be issues involved that need attention other than just the situation of the moment.

INTUITIVES: STICK TO THE ISSUES. N’s want to relate conflict to the total picture. That’s not always appropriate or helpful. It clouds the specifics and complicates resolution. Sometimes it helps just to settle a simple dispute, which then allows you to deal with the bigger issue.
THINKERS: ALLOW SOME GENUINE EXPRESSIONS OF EMOTIONS. Thinkers become unglued when others cry at work; they act similarly when people hug or express warmth. But these emotions - at work or anywhere else - are integral to conflict resolution. Even if you’re unable to express these things yourself, you should allow others the freedom to do so.

FEELERS: BE DIRECT AND CONFRONTATIVE: The world won’t come to an end if you say something you really mean, even if it is negative. What sounds harsh to you as you say it probably won’t be received as harshly by other types; they’ll probably even appreciate and respect your frankness. If you are given to expressing a lot of emotion, don’t apologize or feel guilty for doing so. Being up front about your feelings facilitates constructive resolutions.

JUDGERS: YOU’RE NOT ALWAYS RIGHT. It may be difficult to believe this, but you must if you want a conflict to ever be resolved. J’s see the world as black and white, right and wrong, and have difficulty accepting opposing points of view. It’s hard to negotiate with someone who thinks she or he is always right.

PERCEIVERS: TAKE A CLEAR POSITION. P’s can often argue both sides because they truly see both sides of an argument. Sometimes it comes in the form of playing devil’s advocate. While flexible and adaptive, that’s not always helpful to resolving a problem. It may even intensify the dispute. If you really feel strongly about something, better to take a stand and defend it.

Its not so much that he is argueing, nor that DaMayor is wrong in his observation as well.

Life is not black and white. Its many shades inbetween. Sometimes, its damn close to one end or the other, from our internal perspective. But mostly, its a matter of nuance shading of situation. If there were a particular example attached to some of the more esoteric questions, the answers would be easy to snap out, to make our choice without quandry.

Its not that the same question was asked several times, it was the questionaire forcing us to make finer differentiations between shadings, colorings.

If you consider all of the possible combinations, and realize that this test achieves a relatively good fit in less than 60 questions, you'll understand that its a bloody miracle of analysis.

Those who are intuitive and judgemental, may get thru the test more easily than the sensors, feelers, and perceivers.

The point here, is to use this information. Its a valuable resource for understanding yourself and your reaction to others - and to your world. The internet is loaded with information on these personality types, their conflicts, issues, strengths, the kind of institution, workplace and career best suited for each. How to recognize the types you will function with best, in friendships, in intimacy, through partnering. How to grow, move beyond your innate weakness, to find balance and wholeness.

Not a bad recipe, to trip accross, on a large public forum, dedicated to finding and developing strength within each of us.

I just want to make a point clear that I think alot of you are missing:

You are not one type. these "types" are major generalizations that have been developed from Carl Jungs personality theory. These "types" are simply tools to help us understand ourselves, other people, and how to communicate better. All though we typically do have one dominant personality type, we often shift from one side of the contnium to the next depending on the context we are in. for example, I am usually laid back and introverted, I recharge my batteries by being alone. However, when I am out with my friends I am very outgoing, social, and extroverted.

so when you are taking the questionaire put your self in a context when answering the questions, like being at work or with your family, and see your results. then if you want to have some fun, retake it and answer the questions with the contex of being out at a party or dance club. I hope this makes sense!
