Just out of interest, when sprinters use gear do they use it in the same manner as bodybuilders in terms of dosages, length of cycle, PCT etc and just train differently or ido they do things completely differently. Do they compete at track meats on drugs or is it just done in the off season?

..i'm supprised no ones answered this one..... i think it's a very good question... at the moment i'm looking into using some chemical assistance in the future to compliment my training, not to get huge muscles, but to aid my recovery ...and to add a little quality muscle mass... i guess like a sprinter might do??.... and it's turning out to be harder than you'd think... at the moment though i'm looking into making sure my training and nutrition is as good as it can be..... i'll keep an eye on this thread....lets see if it goes any further??

Test can aid in recovery, but muscles will of course be an added benefit (or curse?) depending on your diet.

... funny how even being busted for drugs doesn't mean you'll be an outcast, I think Ben Johnson went on to have quite a good career in media doing this and that..... and of course became a house hold name..... how many other 100 metres record holders can the average person name or even remember.... but I guess lot more know of Ben Johnson...... we live in a two-faced society.... where even if you cheat and are caught cheating, you can still be excepted and make a good living out of it...

Actually Ben Johnson is broke.

Posted by: Johnny Begood

... i'm sure he is...... but i bet he still lives a more comfortable life style than most 'clean, aspiring' athletes...even if it is with his mummy...but that's just my personal opinion........i'm sure he's doing alright for himself???

These two links that are quite interesting.... i'd also be intersted if anyone can find anything more up to date.... like something that can confirm the loser is broke?

i think they would use a red blood cell increasing steroid like EQ or anavar; the more red blood cells there are the more oxygen carried to the muscles equaling more endurance. Plus, they are not heavy weight gainers so you could stay around your weight, maintain speed, increase strength, and endurance.

there not marathon runners they dont need endurance they need explosive power

I am not around sprinters, but I wouldn't be surprised if tren is becoming popular with that crowd. I would think tren would be the drug of choice over winny.

I know that with competition horses, to increase red blood cell count and help the heart a supplement called "Red Cell" is given. I assume a human could take it as well; a lot cheaper and safer than steroids.

From wikipedia on Ben Johnson:

Federal amateur sport minister Pierre Cadieux called Johnson a national disgrace, and suggested he consider moving back to Jamaica.

Ben Johnson spent much of the latter part of the 1990's living downstairs in the house he shared with his mother and sister. He spent his leisure time reading, watching movies and Roadrunner cartoons, and taking his mother to church.

"Today, I tell the kids don't use drugs, because it's bad for you."

It was claimed Johnson could squat 650 for reps when he was using. Kevin Levrone even at full size was quite fast.

Yep, I wish I knew if they were running a full 400m or what. I believe there is a longer version of that clip out there because I think I saw it about a year ago.
