Here's what I've been having lately

1 scoop whey
2 cups skim milk
1 medium banana

Totals:
fat: 2g
carbs: 52g
protein: 40g

Advice? Suggestions?

What are your goals? what are you doing in the gym before you drink this?

what the heck are we supposed to "rate" it on?? PWO-Shake-ness? In that case it gets a perfect 10 - congrats, it looks like a PWO shake.

I give it a 3

Sorry GoalGetter; totally forgot to give you some additional info.
Male
6'
18 years old
~150 lbs
trying to gain LBM (currently in college, so my food selection isn't as good as I would like it to be)
I'm eating about 2800 calories a day on workout days, about 2500 on off days.

I do a push/pull/legs routine, and I have this shake every time after I'm finished, then I have a balanced ~400 calorie meal about 1 hour after this.

i would not use milk post workout it slows down the release of the pretein, also what kinda protein is it? isolate works best post workout because its faster released!
as far as the banana goes i assume you are using it for the simple carbs, you really should use like waxy maize i made a post on here about that or Maltodextrin
allthewhey has an awesome post workout shake called RejuveniX 41 it has everyhing you need to keep you anabolic longer after your workouts.
use my code and i will give you 5% off
ust something to think about!!
if you have any other questions let me know

Hey hob... thanks for putting up with my sarcasm... i'm a little bitchy today.

your pwo looks good. You could even sub the banana with chocolate syrup every once in a while and have a nice chocolate milk shake type of PWO. I'd stick to something like Ah!Laska Organic Chocolate Syrup in that case, not Hershey's or the typical store brands that may contain HFCS. Santa Cruz is another good, organic brand.

You know, if you like chocolate, like me...

If I could live and be healthy off of chocolate and steak alone, I totally would.

Ooh..chocolate..good idea man!
As for the whey, right now it's ON's Gold Standard, and I've only got about two scoops left, so I'll soon be using All the Whey's chocolate whey protein blend.
I would be using it now, but I ordered it about a week before I moved into college, and it got delivered to my home address after I had moved in and my parents refused to mail the 5lb package to me! I'm going home this weekend to pick up it though, so it's all good.

I agree if a person is trying to add mass. I wouldn't use it if I was cutting. Also Yogart like Jodi says is great PWO

Posted by: IainDaniel

I don't see a problem either way. You many want to eliminate it when you get down to the nitty gritty for a contest or what not.

Posted by: GoalGetter

I agree with Iain - that unless you're down to the "nitty gritty" it's still ok to have. Regardless, moot point since hob said he's trying to gain.
