Hello. Due to a recent move I lost my garage gym which included an Oly set, bench, and squat rack. What I have currently is a 5 foot bar, adjustable dumbbells, 350# of plates, and a Danso adjustable bench along with a very limited space at the foot of the bed in my room to do my workouts in and no spotter ( a public gym is out of the question right now).
Right now I am mostly doing plate loaded DB exercises with the SLDL and OH Press being my only exercises done with the BB. Now this leaves the lovely squat / deadlift done with DBs and a parallel grip. Does any one do these lifts this way and what are your experiences with it? So far I am finding grip to be more of an issue with a pair of 110s then I was with the Oly bar at 300 . Also it has taken a little time to get the coordination down with this movement. Its kind of a wierd feeling as you are doing squats but it also feels like deadlifting. Thoughts and comments appreciated.............. |
