Is he Washington's kicker. I am at work what happened?

Posted by: goandykid

He choked, missed game tying field goal w/ 12 seconds left. So far left it hit John Kerry.

Was the sad face b/c I cursed my kicker or b/c my team lsot? He was a good pick up a few years ago, but has been injured and choking his whole tenure w/ the skins.

48 w/ the wind behind him.

But it had the distance easily

Posted by: Malley

Wow yeah and the worst thing is it was a loss to Minnesota. With a new head coach. I looked for Washington to be good this year. But hell just the first game.

Because your team lost. I was rooting for Washington on the obscure chance that the Lions could pull themselves off the scrap heap and compete for something. Minny losing could have helped somewhat.

We have a great team. Brandon Lloyd didn't show upto play at all, but Randle El and Santana had good games. Our D was solid, Sean Taylor was crushing people until they called a bullshit personal foul on him. Receiver was running a fly route, Carlos Rogers was the cb trailing, carlos tips ball away from Minnesota receiver right as Sean taylor clocks him. I'm not being bias, jsut angry.

Brunell was good, Cooley wasnt, Derrick Dockery was the only bad player on our O line and missed a few crucial blocks. Portis wasnt 100% so Betts was in, and he isnt exactly the same caliber. Our D line was having trouble getting pressure on the QB, I'm not sure why Greg Williams wasnt blitzing his normal amount.

Yea I hear ya. Did you watch the game? I'm looking for the confirmation on that personal foul on Taylor so people don't think im the quintessential angry fan.

Exactly Betts doesnt even touch Portis.

He's a great back up though. We had a few great weeks last year and alot of teams expressed interest. We shoulda jsut traded him then, noone is gonna want him now. He's great on ST though

Damn I was rootin for the Redskins too. They have the worst luck. They've been hyped up for the past few seasons with all of their moves, but always manage to screw up. I'd drop Hall's ass. That shit was unacceptable.

No, but Betts has never been given a chance. He was a stud at Iowa.

He was pretty good at Iowa, but then again Clarret was good at OSU.

Posted by: boilermaker

Brunell looked pretty good. Not quite the poor man's Steve Young like he used to be running the ball, but he made great choices and threw the ball well.

I think Clarret was more a product of the system on a National Championship team, with a high caliber line. Betts did a lot more on his own.

Yea but Snyder finally realized the Steinbrenner technique doesnt work in the NFL, and this season he tried to jsut fill in our holes. New DE, New SS, and new 2 and 3 receivers. Andre Carter didn't do anything, Archuleta had a mediocre game, and Brandon Lloyd had KY Jelly on his gloves. Randle El was good but the focal point was still supposed to be Al Saunders as a new offensive coordinator and his 700 page playbook. He sucked.

I agree. And we all know the Buckeyes cheat.

This is true, but if they were to come out at the same time and nothing would have hurt Clarret's draft status then Clarret wouldve went before Betts.

Posted by: Goodfella9783

Man if the Pats pulled some shit like that I wouldn't even go to work tomorrow. I'd be too depressed and pissed off. What a waste of a great last minute drive. What team was it last year when the kicker missed like 3 different kicks in one game to win. Was it the Redskins?

Yea but he woulda been a bust IMO. Betts is more patient and a better blocking back, a career backup. Clarrett wants the limelight and would never have it, he'd prolly end up traveling the world like Ron Dayne.

We're kind of waiting for the same thing in Detroit. But, hell, it was nice to see a quarterback for the Lions be able to throw the ball in the air for more than 15 yards and actually hit someone in the same jersey.

Jay Feeley from the Giants. I think that's his name. We play the cowboys in Dallas next week, and we better show up to play. Brandon LLoyd better do something, and Al Saunders better show me something before Gibbs takes back the play calling.

Just as Clarrett is a bust now. What a waste.

Yes, Clarett was a better prospect. Remember, though, Betts blew out his knee in the last game of his senior year. I'm not a Betts worshiper, or even a fan really, I just know he has never had the chance to carry the ball as the number one back.

Did you see the poll on ESPN.com yesterday? It was like "How far do you think your favorite NFL team will go?" And Michigan was the only state where the majority said "Will probably be done by week 4." I was crackin up but at the same time I felt bad. I love seeing the Lions do good especially on Thanksgiving. I know, rare occurrence.

There are some teams that are in need of a number one, San Fran.

Yea the Lions looked good defensively this week. Seahawks didn't look upto par, you guys are probably the reason they traded for Deion Branch today.

Boilermaker, hell of a weekend coming up. Michigan vs ND, Skins vs Dallas.

They have sucked and underachieved for my whole life, except for one year when Washington kicked their ass in the NFC Championship game. Billy Simms and Barry Sanders were frickin' great to watch, though.

Tell them to trade for Betts, we already basically robbed them blind in the offseason. Andre Carter, Michael Rumph, Brandon Lloyd.

I'd love to see them go at least 8-8 this year. I don't really like the teams in that division at all besides Detroit. I'm a huge Bucs fan too so when they were up there until a couple years ago, it was a very interesting division where most of those teams were above .500. Minn, GB, Detroit, Chicago, TB.

No, they made the playoffs that year and I think you are right, they lost to Washington. I was referring to '91 I think It was ugly. Like 46-7 or something.

Im too young to remember that, was that a Super bowl year for Washington? 99 I do remember though, after we beat you we played Tampa Bay, lost on a bad snap on a feild goal w/ a few seconds left, down 2. Brad Johnson was our qb, the next eayr he went to Tampa as a shameful traitor and won the super Bowl. Then he beat me tonight at 38 years old. We still love him here though.

Posted by: goandykid

LT has 87 first quarter rushing yards right now.

Posted by: boilermaker

Yep, Super Bowl Champs. '91 season, '92 Super Bowl. They beat Buffalo.

And no1 considers them a dynasty. We were jsut quiet, 3 superbowls in under a decade.

Well, Dallas, SF and Pittsburgh all won bunches in shorter amounts of time just before that. And Buffalo appeared in 4 straight.

48 yards is no chip shot.

Yeah that's true but the point is he missed all his attempts in the pre-season too. I was probably 80% positive he was gonna miss it. Who knows how long the team will have confidence in him?

Blame the Skins' shitty offense for not getting closer to the end zone.
