Mods are really just here to keep things running smoothly(moving threads to correct locations, keeping spammers out and such). If everyone behaved as adults like they should, they would be no need for infractions and such. We are not here to be anyone's enemy. We are here to help make this community a better place for you to visit. I think everyone here, mods included need respect. Kapeesh?

True Story, I was just joking, like every other OC thread, the only difference is now that people act like I'm serious and make threats.

I completely agree but I must confess, I've seen a few mods (on occasion) show a "lack of" respect for others. I've even seen mods promote further contention through thier choice of words and actions. As a mod, there is an unwritten expectation that you must perform to a "standard" higher than the rest. "Set the example" as it were.

Now, I'll grant you, I've never seen a mod start a thread that is specifically aimed at creating a riot or the like. Often times it could be argued that Mods are "provoked" to anger and lash out in an emotional response.

I try to not look at this community as an "Us vs. Them" environment. Mods are people too.

I think the problem in this case is that it Was Not in Open chat. Too many times, good threads are ruined by unnecessary comments by people that are off topic in the thread. Just try to remember that if it is not not in Open chat, try to keep on topic and do not post vulgarities and such.

Well I'm not one to use vulgar language to excess here. 99% of the time I don't use it at all. Open chat or not, several mods here curse in several forums quite a bit and I do not. GoalGetter took points from me for no reason and that is that.
