Why is someone with 4,000 posts asking a silly question like this? You don't really want a turkey sub. You want to eat a whole 25 lb. piece of meat smothered in Velveeta right now, don't you?

All that salt, the preservatives/chemicals in that processed meat...not so good IMO.
I remember leaving some luncheon meat a while back in my fridge for less than a week (yes it remained in the plastic casing) and it was all slimy n sh**. Disgusting...i guess the chemicals didn't keep it fresh enough

Sorry but on a cut it is shit.

Processed turkey is garbage, do a search there has been quite a bit of conversations on deli meat. As well as the bread they serve.

Bread is processed shit, meat is processed shit, cheese is sat fat shit...wtf is the nutrition?

Better to eat a can of tuna, fish oils, and apple.

Posted by: danchubbz

yeah but u can't live and breath nutrition 24/7, all I'm saying is if u have a sub it's not gonna do much damage in the long-run is it?

Bet your girlfriend's won't think you're weird at all if u go out for a bite to eat and u bring along your own tuna and EFA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If you are serious about your cut, then why waste a cheat on a shit meal like turkey sub from subway

And I wouldn't be worried about what other people thought of what I was eating if I was doing a proper cut for a show.

fair enough mate.

Agree completely. Whenever I am on my cuts I am oh so happy for cheat meals, and theres no way I would waste it on some subway crap. It was either pizza or chesseburger.

what about shish kebabs from your local take-away, doesn't seem to bad. Chunks of chicken, pitta bread and salad.....

Depending on how they are cooked. If they are simply grilled I wouldnt think they would be to bad. But who knows what they put on them. If you get a chance simply ask.

My job forces me to travel a lot. I pack most of my food, but eat out every now and then. Considering the options, Subway is certainly not a terrible choice. A 6" turkey (double meat) sub on wheat, loaded with vegetables, no mayo, no cheese, no oil is definitely not a cheat meal. I have been eating these things for 2 1/2 years and have maintained a bf% below 8%. It's packed with protein and low in fat. I usually ditch a little of the bread.

Keep your cheat's to no more than one day a week and you'll be fine. I've been taking a cheat day (Sundays) since I've been working out, and I've never been healthier.

That is entirely dependent apon your genetics. Some people could eat the samething and not be able to maintain below 20%.

Also, the double turkey contains about 2 grams of sodium--add the bread and you got 2.5. It's crap processed meat with no nutrition. The BA of it is probably like 10%.

I was just about to say that! Nice post BigDyl!

I guess I consider myself lucky. I don't worry much about my sodium intake. I have extremely low blood pressure (I run a lot) and don't get bloated from it. My point was, try to eat as pure as possible when you can. If you get stuck with limited options such as fast food, Subway isn't so bad.

All that processed meat ...but the hell with it one sub is not gonna hurt
