LEG DAY! My Partners HATE me!

(CLICK HERE here to view the original thread with full colors/images)

Posted by: Dr. Pain

There is only ONE thing that can motivate me more than other people's PAIN,
and that's WHINING! (SEX always cums first)

When I say WHINING, here's the deal. You WHINE during the W/O, of course I'm gonna make it HARDER!
However, if you start in even before the W/O, then someones gonna pay!

Today my partners had a problem with squatting, "Wah, do we have to? WAH, we squat all of the time, we're tired of squatting!"

OK, then, let's do some Hams (warm up, 2 to 4 misc. exercises light)

1st Triset:

Lying, sitting, and standing machine curls, 10-12 reps, no rest between exercises, 90 seconds to 2 minutes between trisets!

Now pyramid the weight, let's do this 3 times total!

NEXT:

DB SLDLs, BB SLDLs, and decline DB leg curls, same rules! 3 Times through!

Mmmmm, nice warm up 18 sets of Hams

3rd TRISET

Leg press, 45% squat machine, leg extension, same rest interval, pyramiding every triset! 3 times through.

4th TRISET, stop bitching and moaning

One legged smith machine lunges w/back leg on a bench, 1 and 1/4 squats (they thought they wouldn't be squatting), and hack squats. Same rules, 3 times through, Well this pretty much crushed them, I loved it!

Finish 3 TRISETS of seated, 45% machine and smith machine calves, higher reps!

SO that was 45 sets in 52 minutes!

NO MORE BITCHING!
NO MORE WHINING!

You'd think they would learn by now!

Yes W8, alternating superheavy, high volume and shock treatment built my legs and those of many I have trained /train!

DP! :

Not whining, sensible seems more apt.

Posted by: Tank316

DP. i think your twin brother was my training partner 8yrs ago. god i love those types of workouts. we would challenge each other on how many reps we could get with 315, i got 29 reps he got only got 20, but i also yes, if you want big wheels ya gotta train friggin crazy..

I already told him if he cries we'll make it look like something is in his eye!:

I also told Showdown, arms, shoulders , chest, whatever W/O he comes up for, that's my favorite bodypart that day!

W8, I wish you could feel the Pain too No crying, whining, butt what happened to word Bitching?

In all truth, you may be the only one who doesn't tap!

DP

P.S. Tank, find another partner like that, don't ever spend too much time in "the comfort zone!"

Posted by: w8lifter

Bitching = whining....my biatch is the same way...I KNOW not to bitch in the middle of a W/O!

Posted by: Showdown

Screw you two! I'll hold my own any day!

*angrily stomps off, looking for ass to chew*

Showdown, if it makes you feel any better, Big Rob was in the store today at 268 Lean and Hard, WARLORD is at 275 maybe 8%, DP actually felt a little bit small for a second (wanted to hide my food too) good thing the Big Boys respect me!

Of course neither one will work legs w/me!

DP

Posted by: Showdown

275 at 8. That's so unfair. So damn unfair.

Jeez.

He's 8'9 right?

Posted by: Tank316

comfort zone????????? never DP, never ever.

Posted by: Showdown

Hey Tank, I don't know you, but I thought you should know that DP called you a wimp.

BTW, where is Barron located? I'm from WI originally...

Well, I wouldn't say ignore as he could still kick a newbies ass w/ more appropriate w/o for their level.....but yes, a newbie shouldn't think they could do such a w/o!

Posted by: Tank316

comfort zone=my wifes thighs good thing she never logs on, i'd get my azz kicked.

I don't think anyone who isn't totally juiced out of their mind could benefit from such insane volume.

Everyone should, in my personal opinion.

excuse me, i have never ''juiced'' in my life, and to those who do, thats their bizness.but i have been known to be''out of my mind''just like DP said dont ever get into a comfort zone, get friggin crazy and get big.

Really, that's funny cause DP's legs seem to have benefitted...go figure!

DP
Although it is alot of sets, its done in one hour which is how long a leg day should be anyway.
I think its a great way to shock the old legs!!

Posted by: Twin Peak

For what its worth, IMO, such incredibly high volumes on a regular basis are not beneficial to MOST non-drug lifters. That said, there are exceptions and, more importantly, such high volumes as a shock (as Scotty said) can be great for ANY bodypart particularly when the are supersets -- cuz, again in IMO, a giant set of 5 different exercises is more akin to on single set of many reps rather than 5 different sets.

Posted by: Robboe

15 sets for a bodypart every blue moon isn't necessarily bad. it may even be good. But a natural trainer can't get away with it regularly or they'll overtrain.

I just don't see the benefit from doing another 20-25 sets on top of that.

Posted by: Neil

Are these sets being taken to failure?

Posted by: LittLe FraNk

PAIN is WEAkness leaving the body right.....

Posted by: Snake_Eyes

Yes, but your body can only lose so much weakness before its recovery abilities can't repair it properly.

Posted by: KryptoAllez

There sure are quite a few whiners in here who apparently don't have the mental strength it takes to make it thru the PAIN!! Hehehehe.

Posted by: Snake_Eyes

I could. I just don't see any reason to do so when it isn't necessary and could in fact be a Bad Thing (tm).

Posted by: Neil

It is a bad thing and a waste of time. Keep the volume low and the intensity EXTREMELY high and you will see results. There is no need to do more than 10 sets for any bodypart.

Ah, see now you're missing the point. It's NOT always about bodybuilding. Check out DP's thread on shoulder smackdown. He's just one crazy SOB!

Posted by: Robboe

Krypto, do you do 65 set a session workouts?

Posted by: Snake_Eyes

There's a time and place for being a crazy SOB.

I call it the bar.

Of course not, I'm not a crazy SOB!

However, perhaps if someone was physically here and challenged me and could do it themselves, then I'd at least have to try cause I'm one COMPETITIVE SOB!

Posted by: BPB

OK girl, tonight your shoulders are mine...bwahahahahaha

Posted by: w8lifter

lol!

She has chosen "Poorly"

Posted by: Big_Andy

DP, for how long you practice workouts like these?
The reason I'm asking is that see a lot of mature BBers with shot knees and they all tell me they worked their legs a lot. I just want to find a happy medium between shot knees and chicken legs :-)
