Fedor liks Rickson nutz...
Cro Cop hasn't had the chance to do so yet... Remember, Pryde is at the top in the MMA world. Any pryde fighters would lik all ufc's nutz clean, and bum jab all boxers without breaking a sweat. |

I remember a video I watched of Tyson, made before he was famous.
It was at the beginning of a fight and both competitors were standing in their corners mentally preparing for the fight. The other guy is tapping his gloves together and looking down, psyching himself up for the match. Tyson is just glaring across the ring with murderous intent. The bell rings and Tyson runs from his corner. I mean it, he literally runs from his corner. The other guy is still tapping his gloves together about a second or so after the bell rings, head down. He looks up and there's Tyson, right in front of him. The guy's face is frozen between "There's no way he could be here already!" and "Please god, don't let him kill me!" Tyson throws one haymaker to this guy's head and that was the match. |
Tyson is far from being one of the best fighters.
Pyscho and Strong Yes. But as soon as he was matched up against some one comparible in strength, and more skill he got dominated. |

In Living Color was hilarious... Almost everyone on that show went big. Fire Marshall Bill was probably my favorite character. Let me tell ya something...
Hell yeah man, dude was a nut! He honestly did want to kill somebody with every swing...
Back in his early days, the man was a monster. The problem was, the more famous he became, the more he slacked off and lost his drive.

One line I'll never forget was when I was just a kid and Brent Musberger was interviewing Tyson. I think it was Wide World of Sports, when boxing was free, but I'm not sure.
Brent asked him something and Tyson, dripping with sweat and panting like an animal says in his squeaky voice: "That's ludercrist, Bernt". I've never forgotten that for some odd reason, but it sounded so funny when he said it. |
. I think to have the rep as the greatest fighter they need to at least have fought someone with a name. Rickson wouldn't even step up to Bas when he called his bitch ass out |
I remember the first time I heard him talk. It was after the 6 second fight against Buster Douglas (1989, I believe). He walks up the commentator and starts to talk with him. I was pretty damn confused. I couldn't understand why he was screwing around with his voice. It took me a couple of seconds to understand that he wasn't. He really did sound like a 6 year old white girl.
What is it with huge, monster-looking, black guys (Ronnie & Tyson) talking like 6 year old white girls? ![]() |
and he said "That's ludercrist Bernt". Musberger didn't know what to say.

I don't feel Tyson could own everyone on this list, much less the entire history of fighters, but I just see him as the most fearsome and dominating fighter I've ever seen. That's why I voted for him. He'd get owned by the top MMA guys because he isn't well rounded. If he had that training as well, who knows... I could have chosen more wisely, but he is the one who comes to mind for whatever reason. In a street fight, he's more likely to kill you as well.
He is too stupid to learn any Martial Arts. Shit he could hardly even box... all he did was brawl.

Bruce Lee by far is the greatest fighter to ever live...i heard he use to think of 100 ways to hit u b4 he did anything
I could knock out half the guys Tyson fought over the years.
When I was little he was by far my favorite. I thought he was invincible. I was actually near tears when he lost to Douglas (I think I was about 10). Now that I look back at some of his fights, I realized how talentless the heavyweight division was back then. Trevor Berbick? Bonecrusher Smith? Michael Spinks (who was really a light-heavy)? Pinklon Thomas!?! An ancient Larry Holmes? These guys were bums in their prime (Holmes was decent), and when Tyson fought them. If Foreman had made his comeback 5 years earlier we'd be calling him the Greatest of all time. |
I agree that boxing wasn't exactly loaded with talent, but Tyson was still a freakin beast...
I like how people always say boxing isn't what it was. Then when you bring up what was they say it was talentless... Which one is it? Boxing has done nothing but get better with time in the talent pool. After Tyson it was Evander, then it stepped up to Lewis, then he got beat on by a few of the current fighters as well. Today's best would own yesterdays best. Yet people talk about the lack of talent. Bullshit... Talent is rich right now, and it's only going to get better. Especially now that Russian fighters are coming strong. It's not about popularity or flash, but about fist and blood... Ali would get crushed by 6 or 7 of todays top heavyweights. Tyson would beat his ass too... |
He was a full blooded American Indan, so he could probably kick your ass, as well.

This and most of your posts prove you know nothing about boxing or boxers.
"Today's best would own yesterdays best" Really??? then how did a fat slow 45 year old fighter from the 70's best the champ ( who was 25 ) of the best generation of fighters ever ( the 90's)? Tyson was never good, all he did is beat up fat old white guys and 195LB bums. His generation was the worst talent pool in boxing in 50 years. |
I never said that there's a lack of talent now, I simply said Tyson fought and beat bums. The ones that weren't bums he either got manhandled by or bit their ears off.
OK oldschool, let's clarify what I said. First off, you're right about one thing. My boxing knowledge is limited. However I can still form my own opinion through what I do know and have seen...
I said Tyson's generation of boxers lacked. I also stated, that fact doesn't mean Tyson himself did... He owned kids! Who do I feel would have won a Tyson - Foreman match? Good question right there... If they fought one another in their primes, I'd have bet on Tyson. If you compare their longevity and overall careers, then it's Foreman. Hands down... Foreman is one of the few who would do well in todays boxing world. Without question he'd be among the best... So would a pissed off at the world Tyson. Todays best are still THE best however imo in the boxing world. That doesn't necessarily mean that only todays boxers would do well today. That was a general and overall statement on my part. The overall talent is better than ever. Easy... I did say Ali would get beat by some of the heavy weights though. Because he would... Tyson and Foreman would beat his ass too. |
485-1...
Foreman beat the best of 2 generations
Tyson beat the best of 0 generations Foreman wanted to fight Tyson, Tyson said no way he would fight that animal. To even compair Tyson to Foreman is an insult to every fighter who ever lived. Ali would own all today...nuff said son. |
In order
Mike Tyson Joe Louis Sugar Ray Robinson Marvin Hagler James Toney Bernard Hopkins Ali PeeWee Herman George Foreman |

Ok, if they put all the guys listed above in a locked cage, in a fight to the death, who would come out alive?
Think about that realistically.
If everyone is in a cage and only one person can get out, then lets say a fighter A does in fact grab a hold of fighter B and is basically about to subdue him...whos to say fighter C wont come up and break the fighter's A neck from behind? Now that he has fighter A out, he can take out fighter B since hes winded from fighter A. At this point, fighter C emerges. Is he the best fighter? Might be the most clever and sneaky, but best fighter? |

Considering Rickson beat every top level or world class martial artist in every discipline, pretty much means he's the best, and not some one sided clown like Tyson who only ever did boxing, and would get pwned if he ever fought an MMA fighter.

Do you guys not know that Mike Tyson has signed with Pride. So you'll know how good he is soon enough. He really has signed with them check it out if your living in a cave and haven't heard already.

I'm not saying Tyson is the same fighter he used to be by no means.I don't think he is either but he has signed with Pride. The mans down on his luck and you and I and everyone else will pay to see him in MMA so he'll be offered a big purse and then he'll probably fight.Mike is a living car wreck who NEEDS the money so I think we'll see him fight..
The only reason Pride signed Tyson is because the Japaneese are fascinated with large black men. Remember where that Douglas fight was?? The Tokyo Dome. They are still obsessed with him. Same with Bob Sapp. By no means is he a good fighter yet he's a friggin superstar. Bottom line Tyson = money, whether he fights again or not.

I have heard you are also fascinated with large black men
![]() on a side note, I don't think at 5'9'' he qualifies as large. |
At 5'4" you're considered large in Japan.....
Stick to arguing with 16 year olds, that's more your speed. |
5'4'' is not considered tall for a man in Japan son. I apologies for making fun of your sexual preference, I had no right to do that.
Huh?
Like I said, stick to making fun of Kenwood. At least next to his statements yours look somewhat credible. |
Yeah, I guess you're right. What can I say, I'm in a good mood today.

I just hope you don't get violent and come to AZ to beat me up. Please tough guy I apologies for offending you and your fetishes.
You can kid all ya want, thats all in good fun. I'm not offended one bit. Everyone is fully aware of your extra chromosome, and I couldn't live with myself if I beat up a retard.
I am relieved that you are not going to beat me up, we both know it would be easy for such a big tough guy like you.

He's 5'11... You like shrinking people don't you? How tall is Foreman? 9'6???

Back in the day they listed Mike at 6'0'' but it's well known he is 5'9'' to 5'10''.
http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=000474 Foreman was 6'3'' http://www.boxrec.com/boxer_display.php?boxer_id=000090 |
