Maybe if she focused more on just being the best she can be, and less on "beating the men", she'd do better?

Blah she is 16... nothing really much to read into here.
She has an opportunity to play with some of the best in the world with the PGA might as well take that opportunity, might help mature her mental approach to the game. Who cares about what sex she is, still an amazing golfer. |

Maybe he should practice a little more so he isn't a borderline player, that gets beat out by sponsor exemptions.
Everychance you get to play with someone better then you will have a positive impact on your outlook on the game. Is she overrated, only time will tell. But her managers have done a good job marketing her. |

Maybe the guy getting bumped by a woman should be allowed to go play the LPGA event that week and rake in some cash. Seems like a fair tradeoff.
Yes, playing with people better than you helps, to an extent. After a time though, wouldn't you worry about negative reinforcement. She's a kid, not a woman. I'm suprised she holds up as well as she does. She's very composed and well spoken. Yes, her dad has done an excellent job of marketing her. |

I agree with that. I see no problem with a man playing in the LPGA as long as women want to play in PGA. I guess this would be the issue if you like being a second string golfer who can't and isn't willing to fight to make ends meet in the PGA

So should all sponsor exemptions and amatuers be not allowed to play in the pga tour cause they will have an impact on the top 120's earnings?
|
|
Of course not, sponser should always be allowed to have exemptions they are the ones putting up the money. However, the spots should be resevered for pga tour players or members. Amatuers are rarely given a sponsor exeption. Almost all amatuers you see in a pga event have quilified in someway to play that week and that is fine. If they earned the right to play that week then they play. She has not earned the right to play out there as much as she has.

Unfortunately that is not the case with sponsor exemptions. This is a business and the PGA has to see that. So the sponsor will invite the biggest draw.
