Workout Routine?

During my workout I usually alternate between excercises. I work out at work and I am usually the only one there. Here's what I do:

Chest/Back Example:

1 Set Flat BB Press \
1 Set Wide Pulldown / 3 times

1 Set Flat Flyes \
1 Set Bent Over Rows / 3 times

1 Set Incline DB \
1 Set Close Pulldown / 3 times

I alway alternate sets like this.
I do two body parts/day 3 days a week.

I don't have too much time to spend in the gym.

Does this seem OK or should I do 3 sets of each in a row?

Other days:

Bis/Shoulders

Triceps/Legs

Makes more sense to do 3 sets in a row of the same bodypart.

How much rest between sets?

Not necessarily Prince.

Poulquin advocates doing what that dude just described. Something to do with the effect on the nervous system or soemthing like that. Helps strength and progression i think.

Only thing i'd say to do is do back and chest on one day like you are now, do legs on another (quads and hams) and do shoulder, bis and tris on another. Which between exercises each time, although i'd personally do all shoulder work before i even thought about tricep work on arm day.

I would just rather be doing something instead of waiting a rest period in between exercises. I also don't want to be in the gym longer than I need to be.

Thanks for any info.

You're right, Chicken.

It's a neural effect that strengthens the antagonist muscle groups after the agonist has been worked.

I will continue to work one muscle group at a time. It has worked well for me so far.

I do that sometimes if I'm in a hurry but like prince I prefer to do one thing at a time.
