Alot of the submissions he used are easliy defended now a days, he was great back in the day but a heelhook, kneebar, or even Guillotine choke don't work against modern pro mma fighters

Very true. That's why Royce wouldn't be as good today as he was in the early UFC's, regardless of age. Too much evolution of the sport for the real old school guys to dominate. Doesn't mean they can't still win though.

Tito vs. Ken will end up the same way as the last 2. Nothing will change. I just hope the fight is better this time than last.

Shamrock has evolved both in striking and his ground game. He's been training with Erik Paulson who's known as an incredible submission teacher.

Hope he wins.

Every fighter has a plan till he gets hit. The best Mike Tyson quote ever.

It has nothing to do with anything you said......train to defend against Ali in his prime and you will still lose. Ken is old as hell and thats all there is to that.

I think it was! I think he said that right before the "I'll eat his children" comment.

Shamrock has no chance. Even he knows he's gonna lose. Have you seen or heard any interviews with him? He keeps saying, "win, lose, or draw"...and "if I were to win", etc. He's gonna retire after he gets his ass beat...again.

Barnett used a kneebar against nog about a month ago, which pretty much gave him the decision in the fight.

Renzo Gracie submitted Pat Miletich (the guy who trains all of the UFC champs) with a guilotine. At least one person per UFC has been submitted with a Guilotine on average this year.

Pride has had many heelhook attempts this year, some influencing decisions, there might have been one sub.

He has a great point there. Pat Miletich is an outstanding fighter and he got choked out in one of the oldest moves to date. You see alot more of those kinds of moves such as the guilotine choke and all sorts of leg locks in Pride. I think that Ken still has a great chance. He just needs to adapt to the new game which can take years, but with such an experienced fighter like he is, he will adjust. When he fought Rich Franklin a couple years ago, he caught Rich in a leg lock. Even though he lost that fight, he sent a major shock to Rich and his corner.

forgeting when Barnett submited Alexander Emilienenko with a key lock.

I believe ken dominated pancrase because there where no gloves making it much easyer for submissions. Even Bas routen claimed submissions where much harder to pull off in the ufc for exactly that reason.
