I try to deload every 4 weeks, but I usually don't. Today was my first workout after a very good 1 week deload and I felt great. Everything that was hurting me stopped hurting after the deload, so I will try and make myself do it every 4 weeks like I am suppose to.

For me it varies. Usually after 8 weeks or so it's time for a week off, but I'll take time off sooner than that if I get sick or have other major events going on that interfere with the lifting schedule.

I have a full week off every 10 weeks - and I have a 'light' session in the middle - additionally if I get sick (like this week) I skip a session because I believe in letting your body deal with one thing at a time.

Every 4 to 5 weeks I take one week completely off.

About every 8 weeks, I take about 3 days off, not including the weekend. Go back for two light days, then back to normal the next week. For now anyway.
