My 16 year old brother just started cycling on creatine and some other supplements such as NoXplode and Cell Mass. My mom heard from a football coach that these kind of supps shouldnt be taking untill youre 18.. does it really matter?

I tend to agree with him, I see no reason for kids to take supps like that.

At 16 you need to worry about school and that is it....your brother will never play pro sports or even DI college. So he can play sports for fun but the supps are worthless.

what ever you try to tell him its not going to work so i dont even see a point in trying. At that age all he wants to do is be BIG and be BIGGER then everyone else. In his mind its stuck that creatine will acheive his goal.i would suggest to just beat him up and toughin him up so he forgets about the creatine.

I noticed while buying some creatine at a local retailer - a prompt comes up on the cashier's screen asking if the customer is over 18 years of age.
Apparently, it's a widespread myth in highschool that creatine "makes you big".

lol, on my football team we have a couple HUGE kids. And i was talking to my friend and hes like i wonder how he got that big bc last year he weighed 175 and this year he weighes around 210 215. I said steriods and my friend was like no he must be using creatine! i laughed at him. creatine doesnt help you gain 35 lbs in one year.
