Hey folks, I'm a complete beginner to building. Really just getting started.

A year ago I weighed 300lbs of pure fat, probably 38-40%BF. I'm now lean at 5'11 and 175-178 and 11.5%BF. It was a ton of work and I've learned a lifetimes worth of lessons through out the process.

I'm ready for the next phase which is building up. I lift 4 times a week, twice with a trainer. I also keep regular cardio routines, and stick to the biggest gun of my weightloss odyssey: walking.

I've joined up to absorb my share of the info here and read about what works and what doesn't for different people and just to have a place to ask questions and share what will be my own sucesses and failures.

Seems a great board off the bat and I'm already pages deep in several articles and threads.

Cheers!

PS Anyone who works out in downtown Toronto at 'Goodlife', I'm looking for a lifting partner who doesn't mind an enthusiastic newbie to work with.

It's not so bad (both the Eaton Centre and McCaul St gyms).
I moved to Toronto from L.A., and while I was a fat slob in L.A. I did have gym memberships and went *occasionally*. L.A. gyms,... THOSE are nice .

Welcome!

I was in Toronto for some computer training a few years ago. I loved the place... the diversity!

Sounds like you're sprite and educated. Look forward to your posts.
