ok, i mostly hear 5 g daily right? sometimes 10

but this website says 0.3 times bodyweight in kg = loading doses
0.03 times bodyweight in kg = maintenance

which means 24 grams of mono loading and 2.4 grams of mono maintenance

So what should i do??

heres the website
http://www.creatinemonohydrate.net/c...sletter_1.html

this is a very informative creatine mono site

Do you think it's honestly necessary to have a loading period???

Posted by: P-funk

i don't think he is talking about a loading period. I think he is just asking how many grams per day would be sufficient to maintain levels of CP stores.

5g should be fine.

but im saying can i get the same benefits with 2.5 g?? or should i stick to 5

I would say anytime you get a X amount per pound body weight, go with it. Cause if you weigh 95 lbs and so and so weighs 285. how well is generic dose gonna work. Its just like protein, twice your wight in grams, water intake half your weight in oz's

i think the type of creatine also matters, doesnt it?

the numbers that I gave for above is for monohydrate

It doesn't matter. It isn't that the dose is generic, it is that once you are saturated, you can't get MORE saturated. You are essentailly just maintaining that saturation point. So, if I take 5g per day, and another guy takes 10g per day, after 6 weeks, we are both going to be at our saturation points, he is just taking more and wasting more, because he can't store anymore, he is at capacity. Does that make sense?

That said, I don't know if 2.5g is enough to maintain full levels of CP.

Someone correct me if I am wrong here.

I belive your right on with that P.
And 5g should be plenty for maintenance.

Throw yourself in a furnace or swim to the bottom of the ocean and let us know if it works out.
