PF Changs. No this isn't a cheat meal, sometimes I'm obligated to go out on non-cheat meal days, and I want a clean meal. I think this might be an easier place then Cheesecake Factory.

Training menu:

I don't know what the best choice would be...The things on the training menu dont seem to clean to me?

I go to PF Changs usually every other week. They are right down the street from work. I always get the Cantonese Shrimp and Brown Rice.

You can always ask for steamed veggies and chicken or shrimp. I do that often and it's never an issue.

That's funny. That's what I got last time...I'm guessing this is a clean meal? Isn't there alot of sugar in the Catonese sauce? And any idea how much brown rice they give you?

There is some but look at the carb count......there isn't that much. It's just eat the veggies and shrimp and leave the sauce except for what goes on my fork with the shrimp and veggies. You get a TON of brown rice so be careful on how much you eat. Eyeball it and take a good guess as the amount you need.

As WBM said as well, you can always ask for steamed chicken and veggies.

The ginger chicken looks great, I would try this out and save some money as well.

I always get steamed chicken and veggies with the side of brown rice, which i share with someone else (the rice, that is). Or the lettuce chicken wraps.

Also - DDEFINITELY get a side of garlic spinach. It is SO DAMN GOOD, especially mixed in with the brown rice. YOu won't need any of the cantonese sauce. it has an awesome flavor and it's just garlic juice.

I love pf chang!

Is the steamed chicken and veggies plain? Is this considered clean? And is the garlic spinach clean? Or is there butter all over it?

Be careful of the garlic spinach. If I recall there is butter all over it. It is damn tasty though.

So whats the final verdict? Whats the perfect meal there (or near perfect) I'd like to know how to figure out a cup of rice without bringing in my measuring cup

BTW, taste is of no importance to me, I leave that to my cheat meals at the local steak house

Dont eat too much rice and I think that would be a good clean meal.

I wish I knew how to eyeball rice, I always use a measuring cup in my house to weigh it out.

Nah after...

If you have a chance before you go out, spread out your cup of cooked rice at home then do the same before eating it to help you judge it?

Just an idea, otherwise undersetimate?

Are you cutting for a show or something?? I would think a few extra carbs cuz u ate too much brown rice wouldn't be THAT big of a deal....

LOL It's almost funny if some non-bodybuilder read this thread. I'm sitting here worried about how much rice I need to eyeball in my meal.

Ya I will probally end up UNDER estimating or over estimating, at the end of the day its only brown rice, and a few extra carbs. I think I will just lower the carbs throughout the day, so even if i go way over I'm cool

Ya lol I guess I'm just anal about it...I've always have been...I'm a control freak!
If I measure my chicken breast and its suppose to be 5 oz and its 5.25 oz ill take a piece off until it gets to 5oz...obviously it makes no difference, just anal lol

BTW even if I'm not cutting up for a show, I always have the mentality that I am...I seem to take everything to the extreme, which is sometimes a good thing, and then again also a bad thing lol
