I'm doing a research paper on steroid users/usage. It is an informative piece, I'm not trying to persuade anyone. Just laying the information out about its usage and the people who use them. I'll let the reader decided what they think on the subject from there. I feel there is a huge misconception in the populus about them. Anyway...

I need some good books that I can read for sources. The more objective the better.

Are any of you guys familiar with the said books?

btw, I don't use them(nor do I plan to), but I find the subject very interesting.

Underground steroid handbook by Dan Duchaine will help you out unbelieveably. Also, look for the real sports with bryant gumber video. There is a few more that I will have to think of, but these are very good.

Alright I will note those, thank you.

Rough draft is done. Found out I really didn't need much of the legal aspects of steroids. I speficially focused on bodybuilder's use of steroids. Legality only filled a small part of the paper. Found some good stuff though regardless.

I'm actually doing another research paper ATM about testosterone ban in sports. Found lots of great stuff. Agh, I am researched out.

Damn it, I did have one source which was the actual legistlation document on the ban. I could really use that right about now. I had it written down somewhere...

Check out some books by Dr. Yesalis: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_b/...0&Go.y=0&Go=Go

I used one for a paper last year. It was the one titled, "Anabolic Steroids in Sport and Exercise"

Heh, I'm a little late...

Books generally are written by people with opinions, who have also read other peoples opinions, and interpret various research they find here and there.

So what one person recommends cycling wise, another person will tell you something different. Unless you want to read the history of Pakistani sustanon or something like that, and even if that actually, there is plenty of information on the internet.

Some of them do have pretty pictures though, which can also be found on the internet and be more up to date if you dont want to buy a new copy every year.

Plus, due to low demand (they aren't selling a million copies) the prices suck.

I wasn't really talking about the actual cycles done by the pros. I do list some of the AAS they use but mostly I talk about the need to use large amounts of drugs in order to be competitive. Also the contradiction of the officiating because in the IFBB rules "doping" is strictly prohibited yet the judges are pulling for the huge mass guys which in turn leads to greater use of drugs. I could have gotten into the politics too I suppose, but that would have gotten confusing.

It is really hard finding well documented sources for a paper like this. There aren't any studies out on pro bodybuilding drug usage, hardly peer-reviewed ones either. The bulk of the paper is done and I scrounged some decent stuff, but I hope my teacher isn't too strict on the quality of the cites. I mean, I have fucking anomymous interviews done by nonames from bodybuilding.com. Especially when the link is like www.bodybuilding.com/fun/leeinterview
