Should be a good one... I just hope it's not a repeat in the championship game!

Posted by: the nut

What a game... i hope Rutgers pulls this out and gives the BCS supporters the headache they deserve.

Posted by: goandykid

I'm about to pee my pants

Posted by: goandykid

21 seconds, looks like a 33 yarder

Posted by: goandykid

Holy shit, he missed the FG but the defense was offsides...

Posted by: goandykid

17 seconds, 28 yarder

Posted by: goandykid

It's good! Rutgers up 3 w/ 14 seconds left on the number 3 ranked Lousiville.

I should eb a sports broadcaster.

Posted by: goandykid

Great win, great game, told you the Big East was weak.

Posted by: P-funk

That was a great game. Rutgers still has to play West Virginia I believe. Although, Lousiville beat WV, I don't see Rutgers doing it. I think they lucked out once and can't luck out again.

That said, even if they do run the table, I think a one loss team will make it into the championship game before they do.

Posted by: IainDaniel

Sweet a Louisville loss. Just need a little more help to set up a Michigan vs Ohio St. Bowl Game

Posted by: ReproMan

Just like Lou Holtz said though, Louisville didn't lose that game, Rutgers won it. They played some sick defense in the second half and deserved the win. I hope they run the table, that would be the real BCS headache.

that woul be weird if that happened. they would play next week and then again in a couple weeks.

Posted by: IainDaniel

They both have such a big lead in the BCS standings, it is possible. I think Michigan would need to win next weekend inorder for this to happen.

God, I hope not. I'd rather see Ohio St v. Texas again.

Yea, Michigan in a close win and it might jsut happen. That would be an amazing ending to an already good college football season.

My family is as michigan as it gets, nothing I'd rtaher see than us beat OSU next week and rematch it in the championship.

Auburn lost today

ooops...

Posted by: the nut

Cocks winning in the swamp... good game so far.

Posted by: goandykid

Yea big week for the top ten.

Louisville loses, Cocks up on Florida right now, Auburn loses, Arizona up a td on Cal right now.

All shaping up for the michigan vs OSU rematch in the championship

Posted by: the nut

Big kick coming up!

Posted by: goandykid

I can barely watch, 48 yarder, 55 is his long

Posted by: goandykid

blocked for the 3rd time today...

Posted by: goandykid

If his first fg hadnt been blocked, if that kick ahdnt been blocked, if his xp hadnt been blcoked...

The gamecocks offensive line should be ashamed of themselves. If I was Spurrier I'd take away their scholarships right now.

The only way I see that happening is if Michigan wins by 1 or 2 points. If Ohio State wins, or Michigan wins by more then a couple of points, no way.

GO BUCKEYES!!!

Posted by: goandykid

First of all, fuck the buckeyes

Secondly, who won the Arizona v Cal game?

Posted by: the nut

This gonna be crazy. CFA needs to do a final four. Could you Imagine a final four of OSU/ Michigan winner, Florida, Texas, and whoever comes out of the USC/ Cal/ ND mess. That's assuming Rutgers loses to WVU.

As it stands I would have to say the winner of OSU/ Michigan will play:

1) USC if they win out.
2) Texas if they win out and USC loses.
3) Florida if they win out and Texas and USC each lose.
4) Arkansas if they win out and Texas and USC each Lose.
5) Cal if they win out and Texas and Florida each lose.
6) OSU/ Michigan loser (if it's a close game) if USC, Texas, Florida, and Cal all lose a game.
7) ND if they win out and OSU/ Michigan is blowout, Texas, Florida, and Cal all lose a game.

Michigan and Ohio State could possibly be the best 2 teams in the country. But the chances are unlikely that they will play again. BCS depends on the coaches poll and harris poll results. Traditionally when #1 and #2 meet, the loser drops a few spots than #2. The voters will likely put Florida or Texas ahead of Michigan if they lose, and would put Florida ahead of OSU if they win. I personally believe the SEC is head and shoulders above the rest, and only 1 loss is a hell of an accomplishment.

P.S. And being an N.D. fan I know the funny things voters do with them, especially if they crush USC (unlikely).

Posted by: goandykid

Didn't Cal jsut lose?

Lifelong Skins fan eh? Maybe when college football season is over we can be friends. But until then, my statements remains.

Revised after Cal loss. That just hurt USC. Maybe there will be a rematch (Texas v. OSU) in the championship game after all.

Posted by: goandykid

I don't think USC will get a championship bid no matter what, theyve barely won recently, and I really wish FLorida had lsot today so that this was alot simpler.

Posted by: goandykid

Having said that, I think ND and USC will rematch last years game in one of the bigger, non-championship bowls

Why do you want them to play twice?

Had they beat Cal and ND, both with one loss, on back to back weeks they would have gotten in.

Don't get your hopes up, they will only play once.

Posted by: JerseyDevil

Definitely a Buckeye fan. Lived in Ohio for 17 years and fell in love with Ohio State football. Having lived in Jersey for the last 8 years though, it is damn sweet watching the Cinderella story that is Rutgers.

Great thread you started here Nut. You have put a lot of effort into it.

I don't doubt it, but it would make for a great story, and some great football.

What if they split? Imagine the whinning from the team that wins the first time... College football already has a hard enough time figuring out the best 2 teams. It's better to get as many different matchups as they can so the "voters" can figure it out.

Posted by: goandykid

I think everyone can admit that Michigan and OSU are the two best teams.

Arkansas making a statement against Tennesee!

I don't think it's that obvious... Big Ten is weak this year.

Posted by: goandykid

Well don't forget Michigan beating Notre Dame (then number 2) and curb stomping Wisconsin who won today as number 16 overall.

Posted by: JerseyDevil

and Ohio State beating Texas in Austin.

Posted by: goandykid

and Iowa and Penn State were all in the top 15 at some point throughout the season, and Michigan State nearly took out ND

Posted by: goandykid

And michigan beating Vanderbilt, who beat Georgia, who beat Auburn

I'm not saying they are not the 2 best teams. But the SEC is a battle week in week out. They knock each other off every week. OSU and Michigan are clearly #1 and #2 right now, but they are benefiting from playing this game late. Once this game is played the picture will be a little clearer.

Texas is losing to Kansas State. What a weekend so far!

ND is a mess this year, they would'nt even be a top 25 team without Brady Quinn.

BQ is overrated, you saw the true Quinn against a real defense when he played Michigan.

What was it, a lsot fumble and 3 pics?

I disagree. He's the only reason they have been competitive over the last 2 years. Any time he has had the chance to lead a game winning drive down the field, he did it.

The Michigan game is a bad example. You can only hit your your receivers in the chest with the ball and have them tip it to the defenders for picks so many times, before your out of the game (see 1st play of game). Michigan outclassed ND's offensive line and gave Quinn no time, and exploited the Manningham v Wooden matchup. That was difference in the game right there.

I hope KSU finishes the job so they can solidify their status as giant killers. Didn't they end oklahoma's unbeaten season a few years ago?

great win for ksu, glad they switched over from the wake game.

gonna be some serious turnover int he top ten, looking forward to a retooled chart of (if this happens, then x plays in the championship) haha

Posted by: IainDaniel

Watch that Leeman kid as QB next couple of years out of KSU.

BCS is gonna be fucked up. How far ahead are Ohio St and Michigan gonna be over everyone else. If Florida didn't get lucky it would have been crazy.

Posted by: goandykid
