So who's got your vote? Any other bold predictions

NFL MVP: Peyton Manning

Offensive Player of the Year: LaDanian Tomlinson... Will break touchdown record.

Defensive Player of the Year: Champ Bailey... Nobody throws his way and he still has five picks.

Offensive Rookie of the Year: Marques Colston... Enough said.

Defensive Rookie of the Year: A.J Hawk... Becoming a leader on an improving defense.

Come-Back Player of the Year: Javon Walker... No signs of recunstructed knee, almost looks faster.

Coach of the Year: Sean Payton... Far exceeded anyone's expectations.

Best off-season acquisition: Drew Brees... "The Big Easy" couldn't ask for more.

Worst off-season acquisition: Adam Archuletta... Highest paid safety in NFL history is a back-up. (dishonorable mention: Daunte Culpepper, I don't feel this a shock at all)

Super Bowl: Denver v. Carolina... I'm sticking with my first pick.

i like your picks. i got to think if LT breaks the rushing td record how can he not be MVP. its what earned shaun alexander the title last year.

You can't go wrong with either... River's playing great could hurt LT's chances in the end.

Great accomplishment, but nobody really cares now... In the NFL it's what have you done for me lately.

I don't think they have a shot at making the super bowl this year... The football gods are punishing them for only taking care of 1 player on that team.

Posted by: goandykid

Yeah, and b/c Rodney Harrison is a dirty bitch.

I don't know. I wouldn't have too much confidence in Jake "the snake" leading my team to the SB though.

"Get this, New England Patriots own, Rodney Harrison, was voted as the dirtiest player in the league for the second time in three years. Yep, he did it again. Of the 361 NFL Football players who responded, the Patriot got a whopping 23 percent."

‘’All I can say is as many guys as say I’m a dirty player, just as many come up and tell me they admire how I play, the hard work, the commitment, the toughness. That’s the pride you’re looking for. I take pride in that.’’ Glad he's on our side

Gotta love the bitterness towards the NFL team who has murdered this decade

They also voted Brian Urlacher the second most overrated player in the league.

Well it's the players, not like I'm polling the local bar.

Posted by: the nut

How come the safeties are always considered the dirtiest players?

Harrison, Dawkins, Lynch.

Posted by: goandykid

B/c HArrison is, Dawkins is, and Lynch is white.

Posted by: goandykid

Harrison is known for hitting behind the play, elbows, knees in the pile, etc

That's where the Urlacher vote came from, I'm sure.

Never heard that before. I think nut is right about the safety thing. Receivers fear them most and guys like Dawkins, Lynch & Dawkins hit real hard and often unexpected so receivers automatically think it's dirty.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rodney_Harrison

Although no such records are kept by the league, he is believed to hold the record for most times fined by the league for unnecessary roughness or unsportsmanlike conduct. Notorious for his cheap shots, Harrison was voted the dirtiest player in the NFL by his peers according to a poll conducted by Sports Illustrated. In 2006, Harrison further solidified his reputation as one of the dirtiest players in NFL history when he, yet again, topped the list of the dirtiest players compiled by Sports Illustrated. Of the 361 NFL players polled during the preseason, an incredible 23 percent of them pointed to Harrison as the league's dirtiest player. When interviewed about Harrison for an October 19, 2006 Boston Herald article, Buffalo receiver Lee Evans supported the notion that Harrison is a dirty player, “you can see it on film. It will be subtle, like making a tackle and doing something a little extra after it. You’re getting up and maybe he pushes your face into the ground or gives you a little kick in the back."

What an asshole

Not as bad as Sean Taylor spitting in the face of Pittman in last year's playoffs. I'd rather get kicked or hit late and hard than spit on. Now that's a disgraceful act. Good thing Pittman jacked him in the head right away. Wrong dude to f with.

Posted by: goandykid

Thats true. Sean Taylor messed up once though, a far cry from a quarter of the league voting you dirtiest player 2 out of 3 years.

Yeah but most of that stuff isn't really "dirty." I think dirty is more like when the Raider's guy kneed Jeremy Stevens in the balls, Wainwright stomping on the Cowboy player's helmet-less face, or intentional face mask yanking. Some of the things that Harrison does is definately unneccesary but it is more so getting in the players' head than doing intentional harm to them.

both guys got fined on that knee play. if anything tyler brayton is far from dirty. in his 4 years that was only his second fine. that should tell you about dirty or not

Dirty is dirty, Rodney Harrison is just subtle about it. You have to realize a quarter of the league voted him dirtiest player. He's constantly elbowing, kneeing, shoving your head down etc, like Lee Evans said. I'd rather get kneed in the nuts once and have the other guy penalzied for it than get elbowed and hit behind plays the whole game w/o any penalties.

Yeah they were saying on ESPN that Jeremy Stevens is, essentially, an asshole. plus he has butterfingers

I called the act dirty not him. In his interviews he definately seemed like a respectable dude. I'd probably want to knee some balls if I was on the Raiders too

These pussies need to quit whining. It's the NFL for christsake!! Complaining about elbows? How much padding do they wear again?

The arguement is whether he's dirty or not, and he transcends dirty. Plus, you wouldn't be syaing that if you were another team's fan.

Yeah you're probably right actually. Harrison is the only one who can hold our secondary though so he can do what he wants. As long as it's nothin extreme.

I don't like the Eagles, and Dawkins is not dirty. Dirty is the term pussies use for guys who tackle hard.

There's the problem right there... pretty boy receivers complaing about being hit. Receivers = whinners. I played football for 16 years... and I can't remember a game where an offensive lineman didn't give me a jab or elbow after the play, or do a push up off my head when they were getting off me. Receivers are the biggest mouths in the game and don't like to get touched.

Atleast Washington is getting a high draft pick.

Probably either Alan Branch(UM ) or Gaines Adams.(clemson)
