Where does it REALLY go?

I didn't quite know where to post this, so Mods, if you wanna move it, please feel free.

Where does the fat that you lose REALLY go?

I know now that I have a pretty good idea of how to make it go away, but where does it go? Does it convert to liquids and bowels and expells when you go to the bathroom?

I've always wondered about this and thought that if we know how to put it on and we know how to take it off, would it be beneficial to someone to know where it goes?

Would it give us a renewed sense of research if we knew where it went?

Just asking. I hope someone can answer for me. W8, TP, DP?

"FAT IS LIKE A FRUITCAKE, IT NEVER REALY GOES AWAY, SOMEONE ESLE JUST ENDS WITH IT!"

Dietary fat can be excreted in the feces. Also, it along with adipose tissue can be converted in the liver (hepatic gluconeogenesis) to serum glucose and use for fuel by the body. This along with other oxidative processes, will leave various by-products of fat metabolism to be utilized or excreted by the body!

Hey SpecialK...good to see you here!

Even though you're getting lots of veggies, you may still need a fibre supp w/ your diet. Do you count your fibre grams? How much are you getting daily?

Holy shyt...once a week!!!!

You do need some fibre....big time.

I agree once a week WOW... I go at least 4 times a day

the "brown fats" stored in adipose tissue are delievered to the mitocondria for use as energy and burned.

What is a good fiber supplement to take?

Posted by: w8lifter

Metamucil....it ain't good, as in taste , but it does the job. Ground flax seeds can also be used, just through some in your shake or oats.

Fibersol is another good one and has been proven to be the best supplement to "acutally" slow the modulation of whey protein.

Put a scoop of All-Bran on top of your oatmeal in the morning for an easy way to get 10 grams of fiber quick (as long as you don't mind eating stuff that looks like hamster pellets).

Fiber One is good too.

My dh had that problem too eventhough he was eating lots of fiber, fruits and veggies during the day. Hardly any junk food. It was the vitamins (the potent ones for athletes) that may have a lot of iron in them. So I suggested he take that with orange juice for better absorption and that solved his problem. Yours maybe due to something else but I'd thought I'd mention it.

Thanks to everyone for replying...I used to eat lots and lots of fruit (10pc a day) and lots of veggies. I recently started doing the cut program, where I totally cut the fruit out of my diet...I eat veggies, but I know that I don't eat enough, also because I've been trying to keep my carb intake really low. I was going to start taking fiber pills, but I feel like its a waste of money..the once that I saw had only 5 grams of fiber and you have to take 6 of them just to get those 5 grams. I'd rather eat some salad and get my 5 grams that way. What about natural laxatives? Like Aloe Vera may be?

I'd rather get fiber the natural way first through veggies and fruits first. Try upping green veggies first to see how that works. Some fruits like grapefruits, berries have lots of fiber too.

I don't understand why you just don't add a fibre supplement? I'd rather take the fibre supp than a laxative? Ground flax in your shakes or flax seeds on your salad....all the carbs in flax are fibre so it won't throw off your counts.

HDT make a power you add to water that has around 15g from memory.

Posted by: SpecialK

I just don't think that fiber pills will be effective enough, because sometimes even the strongest lax won't make me go....but I guess I'll give it a try. What's HDT???

FIBER-Psyll is designed to add soluble fiber (up to 12 grams per serving) to the diet thus cleansing the intestinal tract and keeping bowel movements regular.

Fibersol 2 is a high fiber source which is heat stable, has low viscosity, pre-biotic properties and is highly soluble. Fibersol 2 mixes instantly and has no inherent flavor.

Most fiber supplements have a gritty and unpleasant taste. FIBER-Psyll has a pleasant citrus flavor with a subtle pulp texture.

FIBER-Psyll also helps promote the maintenance of healthy levels of blood serum cholesterol, blood triglycerides, and post-meal blood glucose.
