I dunno if this belongs here or in Recipes...
but my question is:

Anyone have used this before? I have found a site that sells chocolate extracts, peanut butter extracts, etc. I think it would be yummy in shakes, bars, etc.

Thanks

nope. i had a phase of using rum extract though! seriously. i bet they are yummy. let us know! they do have some carbs and sugars in them but not much in 1 tsp. (at least vanilla does)

I use extracts when I'm not dieting for a comp. They are good in shakes, baking & even oats Haven't tried the chocolate though.

Sorry to rant-

Do any of you get cravings for the real deal from extracts?

I do. I had some chocolate extract in a recipe and about an hour after I ate I wanted real chocolate to the point where I was doing laps around the first floor of my house- opening the fridge and pantry every five minutes looking for a fix.

I have to avoid choc & peanut butter like the plague or I may eat it all at once.
