Is it possible that as you get older the pressure inside your head increases slightly? Not much but still noticeable.

I think that's just a result of constipation.

Is it natural? Not sure. Can it occur as a part of disease processes. Yes.

Two examples (and there are more):

1. athlerosclerotic deposits in the jugular veins. This reduces blood supply and also return flow from the brain.

2. Vascular 'remodeling' (change in tissue physical properties and appearance) by deposition of fibrin polymers into vascular tissue. This reduces the 'elastic' response of the pulsing of the 'hoses' (and the response of tiny valves that directionalize flow) that drives blood throughout the body.

Note: a study conducted in 2001 to assess elastic response to nitric oxide (induced by insulin) found that more than 24% of young adults (aged 19-25) in the study population had lost vascular elastic response in their vascular system. This was despite have glucose tolerance response within the average range and normal body mass index values. This study was conducted on a large number of young adults (I think they were mostly college students).
Why do you ask?

I guess it is more like a brain erection.

If you have ever had a head cold with severe sinusitis and congestion, or a very bad headache that felt a though "the top of your head were coming off"..that might be closer to the sensation of elevated intracranial pressure.

What you describe sounds more like a tightening of the superficial muscles of the face, scalp and neck.

Thats a different issue, CNS induced.

No but I gained some weight but it cant be a pressure from outside since we dont really store fat above of our heads. If you gain weight, does it affect the inside of your head? I mean maybe there are no fat cells in the brain but can it change size for some other reason? What about water retention, there are a lot of water in the brain, can it be because of it?

Blood pressure can be affected by receptors that are activated through elevated liver lipids. This is often seen in conjunction with either alcoholism, nonalcoholic fatty liver syndrome, and use of AAS or aggressive use of HRT.

Many people are completely unaware of their condition of elevated blood pressure. I think you would need to have seriously elevated (clinical condition) blood pressure to 'sense it'.

When was the last time you had a physical? Many drugstores/pharmacies and quite a few larger chain supermarkets have automated blood pressure check stations. I would consider giving one of those a "go" to determine resting blood pressure status.

A few months ago that is why I am not worried. I like the theory of tightening of the muscles but the tightness is only in the front part of my head. It is difficult to describe. Once I posted a thread about trepanation, do you think it is a good idea?
Well I am sure I wont feel anything in a few weeks, it is probably only stress.
