Now that he was exposed as being gay by TO its been downhill since...haha.
He had no weapons in Cleveland, and he has been essentially out of the game for 2 years.
Same for Barry Sanders ... he was unbelievable but the Lions truely sucked during his time and they still do. He wanted to be traded but they refused so he retired. He probably would have broken all records held by Walter Payton, Jim Brown and so forth.
It seems like once he was traded from San Fran, his career just went down hill. His short stint in Cleveland was awful and he looks like shit right now with Philly. It is like he doesn't know how to manage an offense anymore.
He's having a decent game tonight. Over 300 yeards 3TD's. 5 mins to go.
Are we talking about the same Jeff Garcia?
Looked pretty good to me last night... ![]() |
I could say the same for ...
Look at Brian Bosworth for example. He was an absolute beast in college but he sucked big time in the pros. They always talk about the time Bo Jackson drilled his ass into the endzone. |
Bosworth was big time into roids, same with the lineman greenbay drafted tony maravoich or somthen
Good thing I picked him up and started him in fantasy last night.
![]() |
Wow yeah, that sucks.
Garcia got me more points last night than any of my QB's had all season... Which clinched me a 1st round bye in the playoffs!! ![]() |
Put him in a proven system with a few stars around him and he's a top 10 QB, no doubt.
I could say the same for ...
Aaron Brooks Kerry Collins Trent Dilfer Brian Griese Damon Huard Brad Johnson Jon Kitna Ryan Leaf I mean, not all great players in college are going to be great in the pros. Look at Brian Bosworth for example. He was an absolute beast in college but he sucked big time in the pros. They always talk about the time Bo Jackson drilled his ass into the endzone. It's either make or break for every player. Tom Brady, a 6th round pick out of Michigan already has 3 superbowl rings. |
That would be Man Mountain Mandarich.
Or after he stopped his steroid abuse and developed breasts, Juggs Mandarich. |
Yeah, it must suck to be great, but then end up on a team that doesn't seem to have the desire to win. Good thing Eli dodged the Chargers.
What happened to that OL the Raiders drafted first overall a few years back?

Oakland took Gallery 2nd overall in the 2004, he's f'n horrible.
I hope jeff can keep this up he looked real good last night...he should do even better against a garbage Redskins D
I can't belive he got booed him when he got up from taking a big hit. I for one would rather see him than AJ feeley
Really? I was wondering why I never heard of him since the draft. Then again, I don't hear of many offensive lineman.
What's his deal? Slow? Clumsy? |
It was fun a few years ago when the crowd got the "AJ Feely" chants going when Donovan was playing like shit. Poor Donovan...
I agree though, Garcia is way better than Feeley. |
I would love them to throw Feeley in for a couple of games. See how much they cheer for him after that.
I don;t see how difficult it is for teh fans to see. Look at the Dolphins, they suck shit and he was the 3rd QB after that shitfest last year and ended up getting cut. |
Yeah, it must suck to be great, but then end up on a team that doesn't seem to have the desire to win. Good thing Eli dodged the Chargers.
Have you looked at the Chargers and the Giants records lately???
What???
Have you looked at the Chargers and the Giants records lately??? ![]() He also cost the Giants three draft picks. The Chargers will be laughing all the way to the Super Bowl while Eli is one and done if he gets the Giants to the playoffs at all. |
Wow! I can't believe this. I thought the Eagles were toast, but Garcia has been unbelievable.
Eagles/Cowboys...what a game next week. |
My entire fantasy season is going to hinge on that game. My opponent is going to start Romo, Barber III, Whitten and the Dallas D. I'm going to start Garcia, Reggie Brown and the Philly D.
Goooooo EAGLES!!! ![]() |

20 points last week and 28 points this week... I would not say that is the worst advice ever.

Fuck yeah. I can't wait for this game. I'm so pumped. Biggest game of the year for the Eagles and Eagles fans.

I liked how everytime the eagles scored the camera men would focus in on T.O. and he would hang his head down. He leads the NFL with the most dropped passes.
He said they need to get him involved earlier. My guess is he didn't see the 2 cans of corn he dropped that any HS player could have caught.
If a player is leading the league in dropped passes I think I'd be less inclined to throw to him.
![]() |
He also has 12 TD's and over 1000 yeards receiving. I'd take him minus the attitude.
Bump. Jeff played a hell of a game today. Eagles at Saints on saturday.

I hope the saints walk all over the Eagles
![]() And Reggie Bush gets like 5000 yds rushing and Brees throws for like 4 billion yds. |
.
The Saints haven't been great at home this year and the Eagles have much more playoff experience. It'll be quite a Saturday night in the Big Easy.
That and the Pats/Chargers game will be the best games of the weekend. |
I'm thinking it'll be a dog weekend.
New England: Coaching. Marty always blows it in the playoffs and Belichek is the best coach in the league with the best QB. Philadelphia: Playoff experience. 2008 will be the Saints year. Chicago: Lock of the week. Seattle on the road will not get lucky again. Baltimore: Good defense trumps offense every time. This is my pick to win it all. |
Marty has very little coaching to do. Give LT the ball and let Merriman rip!
How bout them E - A - G - L - E - S.
They are going to the bowl mark my words. |
I'm with ya on this one, not just because I'm a huge Eagles fan either.
New England vs. Philadelphia |
But what about two years ago? That's what really killed me. He had LT AND Drew Brees and lost at home to the JETS!!!
I may be wrong, but it has happened too many times with this guy and right now, he'll have to show me different before I'm convinced. |

Some dickhead on Quite Frankly just said "I want to see New Orleans beat Philadelphia this weekend." Stephen A. asks "why?" The guy says, "because any team that Jeff Garcia is on I want to see lose, because he's horrible." How does an idiot like that get on ESPN?? It was asshole thing to say and he's flat out clearly wrong...

I've seen the show 2 times, and both times it was an all black panel, and they were complaining about racism to some degree. That was enough for me not to tune in ever again.

IMO, these Chargers are head and shoulders above any team he's coached.
