Inconsistent calls in the NFL...

Just noticed this. With under 2 minutes or in the 2nd quarter...Carolina has the ball on 3rd down, is nowhere near getting the 1st down, and the receiver is forced out of bounds, but they say his forward progress has been stopped so the clock runs. Same situation, except this time they get the 1st down, forward progress is stopped and the receiver is forced out of bounds, but they stop the clock.

yea, I feel like the refs have been worse this year compared to previous seasons.

It is getting brutal.

isnt that part of the rules? clock stops on a first down?

Didn't matter. Phiilly was stupid and got caught for pass inter and let Carolina score a TD

No, in college they stop the clock to spot the ball, but it runs after that. In the NFL the clock runs regardless.

Anyone catch Stallone in the booth? They had him doing the Rocky voice. Kornheiser asked for a special shoutout and Sly responds, "Yo Tony...Go for it!" Haha it was great.

I know Im totally sick of the inconsistent calls, especially with calls against the qb.

It is getting out of hand perhaps there should be some stiff penalties if a ref makes, say 3 bad calls. What bothers me is when the play is shown on TV and we can see it was a bad call but an organization like the NFL can't afford a television and radio down to a ref that he made a bum call and when it's challenged it needs to be over turned. The KC,Clevland game was like that last week. The play didn't make alot of difference but it was challenged and was shown in slow motion on national television and the ref still didn't turn it over.

What a fuckin terrible call on that personal foul against wilfork in the pats-miami game. Wilfork fell down and Harrington tripped over him but no it's "unneccessay roughness".

All the refs in the NFL need to be fired. Fucking terrible.

What a horrible game in general. Either Miami is way underrated or I'm starting to question the Pats' playoff hopes.

Has to be the latter considering they haven't really played well all season except the Vikings game. They turn the ball over too much, have too many key injuries and most importantly the offense is just struggling in every aspect of the game. It's not good when Brady doesn't look comfortable and the offensive line can't protect him for shit.

Yeah, the Pats are disappointing this year. I think the stinginess wrt paying players well may need to be retracted.

I haven't watched but like 3 Pats games but was amazed they got shut out by Miami. And what is up with the Colts?Have they been exposed or just had a couple real bad weeks?I took Jacksonville in our F-Ball pool at work just on hopes that I would keep first place by getting some lucky wins.

I figured them losing this game, they almost always lose in Miami. Last year they had the 2nd team in, though.
