there are differeces...

creatine mono is the original. the reason why peope have modified it are numerous, to improve it and to make money. the complaints agaist mono are that it can cause bloating, some people do not respond to it, and to optimize it you need to take in a lot of sugar.

kre-alk, is basically a buffered form that is more stable and doesnt convert into creatinine (which is worthless) as readily as mono,

cee is creatine with an ester attached. this will help it be better absorbed in the body, and not require sugars as a transport.

there are many other forms, and much better explanations out there. start with mono, and then experiment.

I've already gone through over a year's worth of mono, with pretty good results. Should I try a different kind when I run out or should I stick with mono?

that is your call. i like to try new supps, but if you like mono, why change.
