I was just watching an old fight of Tim Sylvia. He was fighting some guy named Cabbage. THis Cabbage guy, JESUS, how can one take hits like that and be just fine? Fucking crazy.

Was Sylvia juicing during this time? He looked jacked, less 'dumb,' and better at his fights. If he fought like that every time, I wouldnt have minded him so much.

Now I am watching Matt Hughes's first title shot against.....Newton.

You should watch Cabbage fight Arlovski. He takes an even worse beating. Sylvia will fight like that usually when there's no ground threat.

Posted by: AKIRA

Hmm, ill have to look that up. Does Cabbage still take it and keep on going?

I know these vids are old, but the new ones are discussed to death nowadays.

Theyr rerunning those Joe Rogan interviews on Spike and BJ Penn jsut said he's slated to fight Jens Pulver? When did this happen?

I think they are the two coaches for the next TUF.

He was stripped of the title for testing positive for steroids. He claims he was taking Winny to get cut.

I honestly thought it was just lucky slam. That was the only time I saw it being useful, yet it was one in a 100 chance to set his opponent up like that.

I did notice how cocky his attitude got as he got popular.

Oh yeah, and GSP was a night and day difference from his last fight to the one they aired last night. He looked like he held back.

I am so glad he didnt the 2nd time.

Yeah he is the typical "old school" UFC guy. His defense was terrible. Reminded me of Bumfights. The slams are very useful. Check out youtube and type in UFC slams or something like that.

Yeah Arlovski lands so many clean combinations and Cabbage just keeps pressing like the Terminator or somethin.

Here's highlights from it I couldn't find the complete fight:

Cabbage is the Zulu of the UFC, a fat punching bag.

Posted by: AKIRA

I cant believe that fucking ref stopped the fight. This was AFTER Tim yes? So why the hell would that asshole think he couldnt take it?

He did knock him down though...

Posted by: gsxrK3

Oh Man that was crazy. Lol

I miss the Tank Abbott, he was great when he was at his best

Posted by: AKIRA

You mean when there were no weight divisions? Ok then I agree.

Posted by: IainDaniel

He was still shit then. Just people in these events didn't have the same understanding of MMA as they do now.

Kinda like Royce Gracie. He made a name for himself by beating untrained, uneducated schmucks.

Posted by: IainDaniel

Just like Ken Shamrock "the most dangerous man"

Posted by: IainDaniel

But at least Royce had something to do with developing MMA to what it is now a days.

Yeah he let people know that if they didn't learn BJJ, scrawny wimps like him would be UFC Champs.
