just the egg whites? why not the whole egg or are the yoks to high in fat

Yeah the yolks are high in fat (especially the cholesterol ridden saturated kind), but also contain alot of the nutrients that make eggs worth eating.
As a post workout meal, the just whites are a good idea because your really looking for protien anyway. Plus I think the fat in the yolk would probably slow protien absorbtion. Otherwise, if your gonna eat say 6 eggs, id eat 2-3 whole eggs then eat just the whites of the rest |
