Seems pretty accurate to me. I'd stick Fedor at #1 though.

definately, rampage is no joke. this is PFP btw, if it were say a top 5 it would be much different. Noguera and hunt dont make my list because they weigh too much

Oh yeah, Rampage isn't a joke for sure, I didn't mean that. Even though he has more wins and experience I think Shogun is better PFP.

1 -Fedor ... nuff said.
2- Mirko Filopavic ... waiting to own the UFC in two divisions. Fought EVERYONE from Pride and K-1 who matters and beat most.
3- GSP ... Athleticism and skill, heart and drive.
4- Wanderlie Silvia ... only losses are when he fights over his weight class. He beat Rampage 2x
5- Sakuraba ... same as Shirk. He fights WAAAAY over his weight limit just to find people that can beat him. The dude has won with a flying heel lock FFS!!!!!
6- Shirk ... a pumped up 155 pounder that fights at 170 so he can get a match. In his weight class he is unbeaten with his only losses to Hughes and GSP ... both in a higher weight class.
7- Liddel ... I'm a skeptic about his abilities vs the quality of fighters that up til now were not in the UFC ... but his record has earned him a mention. The next 12 months will show the real skills of Liddel.
8- Gomi ... No doubts about his place on this list.
9- Diego ... he is undefeated and on a roll.
10- Penn ... if this dude would just get over himself ...

Rampage is not on my list. He's at the top of the who's who list of fighters and will most likely de-throne Liddel but he's been beat by people that are not on ANY PFP list. Let us see what next year brings him ...

Travis Fulton ... honerable nention for being the busiest damn fighter in the sport bar none. This guy will fight anyone in any franchise at any time. He's compiled a record 223 fights, been KO'd only 4 times and submitted 117 fighters ... add in 52 KO's and you see why I like that guy.

El Guapo I know he is not supposed to be on this list but he owned Pancrase for four years, and held the UFC belt for one year so he gets an honerary mention. Okay fuckit I'm just a fan so he's on my list.

Hunt has a head made of concrete butt Hunt is a fatboy so the PFP leaves him outta there. Nog, on the other hand, is 6'3" tall ... his body weight is on par for a big guy so I included him on my list.

Nog ... his battle vs Sapp was insane to watch. They way he got slammed and pounded on by that 350+ pound Sapp and still won was awesome to see so he gets an honerable mention.

Speaking of Sapp I gotta say that it sux for sherdog.com to not include K-1 data in their stats. WTF is up with that anyway? In the fight with Sapp vs Ernesto Hoost Sapp couln't answer the second round bell ... so the K-1 officials gave Sapp a recovery time. Not a no-mass ... like any other franchise would have given Sapp ... instead he was given a rest break past the regulation time that ended when the bell rang of about 2 min's. Maybe other equally unacceptable actions in K-1 have earned them this non-stat usage ... but it really does hurt the fighter's numbers and it just sux. Ernesto Hoost is 0-0-0 in sherdog's books ... yet with 70 fights he's a damn fine fighter in mine.

If anyone knows a better site for MMA stats please post a link ... thanks.

Oh yeah, I totally forgot about Shirk!

I was actually thinking Bas too BC, but I didn't list him because he is retired.

Diego too actually...I'd wait till he beat a top contendor for his weight class though.

He fought last year and is waiting for the final outcome of all his needed surgery to determine if he will resume his retirement. He was part of the deal that gave Rampage to the UFC ... so he technically COULD show up in a UFC fight (yeah I'm dreaming but shhhh ... you might wake me).

Beating 2 people you've already beaten before, and beating 3 people that are all grapplers, when they never fight you against a striker--that makes you the best in the world, sounds like some "fox logic" to me.

Fedor has been injured anyways, and would destroy lidell.

Id vote for Silva for this one as well. Which fight was it where Silva came out in the UFC ring and acknowledged Liddell's existence?

Either way, looks like Pride is going to always be vs. UFC. There has to be a happy medium eventually.

Sooner or later all contracts come to an end. That is why we have Cro Cop coming tp the UFC and that is also why Wonderboy and Liddel have a date on my screen ... preferably in HD format with El Guapo presiding at ringside. You know they both gotta be all like "I can sooo kick his ass
