Collar bone problems with bench

About like 14 months or so ago, i broke my collar bone in a car accident, and the stress on bench makes it hard to lift that much...is that normal and should i just lower the weight for bench?

Did you do PT? If not, check into that.

For other advice...just start with a light weight and progress forward. Your bones and muscles won't be accustomed to the stress and tension from the bench press. You have to re-introduce it. And remember, if it hurts - don't do it!

Go to see a physical therapist for some treatment.

pain free ROM.

don't go all the way to your chest.

don't do it if it hurts.
