steroid tests

How much does it cost for a steroid drug test? my work will be doing random tests soon. i was told they'll test for testosterone levels first since thats not expensive i was told. if the testosterone levels are out of wack then they'll make the decision to to the full tests, which i hear is expensive.

Steroid tests are around 260 or more a pop.

I have never heard of a randon test for test levels. Why in the hell are they doing this?
