Broken Tricep

I have had some very annoying pain in my right tricep and shoulder for a few months now. I have taken time off and spoken to a sports medicine doctor and he encouraged me to lift but lightly which I did. He believed that it was mild rotator cuff issue that I could work through. I did pretty well for 2 months at very low high rep weight until about a month ago. I had to stop because the pain hit me one day as it something broke or got extremely worse. Doing nothing over time seems to provide relief but not I can barely do a push with out loads of pain in my right tricep.
Well last night I noticed something about my right tricep that was different from my left. When keeping the arms pointed down and flexing the tricep on both arms my right one seems to be broken. What I mean by this is it is very hard at the bottom half but the top half towards the shoulder seems to be very soft and I can’t flex it at all. Now to me it seems as if something must have snapped or broken for this to happen. The left one is hard all the way through from top to bottom.
Any ideas on what might have happened or what I can do to fix it? Keep in mind that I live and work in Iraq and seeing a doctor other than a “Motrin PEZ dispenser” medic are my choices. I will be home in a month on R&R so I can see a real doctor then.

I found some info on the web.

Types of tricep injury
Basically, there are 2 main types of tricep injury. Tricep muscle tear and tricep tendonitis. A tricep tear is an inflamation of the tricep muscle, or in severe cases, the muscle is literally torn away from the bone. You are likely to get this type of tricep injury from lifting heavy weights without warming up. Tricep tenonitis is a repetitive strain injury. You will most likely get this type of tricep injury from repetitive exercises like throwing, hammering or playing tennis.
I am not sure what type I have.

Have you seen a sports injury specialist?

There are not alot of "sports injury specialist" located in Iraq, but I do have an appointment with one in about a month when I come home for R&R.
