Hey all, Lately I have been sleeping for about 10-12 hours a night, but i am still eating every 2.5-3 hours whilst i am awake.

I am off work at the moment, with paid leave, and its not a holiday... If anyone wonders why i have so much time to sleep...

I am eating a fair bit of cottage cheese before i go to sleep, about 300-350grams, to try and keep a bit of protein in.

When I wake up, I am not excessively hungry either?

So I guess what I am trying to ask here is, will sleeping this much be negative for me. My main goals at the moment is to cut, as im about 19-20% BF.

THanks in advance

i am also getting the same amount of sleep. it is hard trying to get 6-7 meals in in 10-11hours. just try to get 8-9 hours of sleep, get an alarm clock or have someone wake you up. etc.

When i get that much sleep per night i adjust my meals accordingly because if you think about it you are not being active for half the day which will bring down your basal metabolic rate accordingly. IOW, if you sleep for 8 hours per night then you are, theoretically, up and about for 16 hours doing stuff, however, if you sleep for 12 hours then thats 4 hours of activity that you are no longer doing. Kcalorie expenditure will then vary.

Jodi will probably yell at me for this, but i want to say it anyway. I used to worry so much about all this small stuff. Missing a meal, should i grab a protein bar or even a sandwich, what if i don't eat every 3 hours, what if this or that??? Since i stopped worrying so much about those things two things have happened (or not happened, depending how you look at it)

1. I"m still reaching my goals as i was before
2. My life is way more enjoyable when i could say "fuck i missed my meal, but i'll grab this sandwich instead" Or "shit i only had 3 meals today, oh well tomorrow's another day"
