High reps, what % of 1RM?

Hey all, I was thinking about swithching up my workout a little for next week. Instead of doing my normal heavy weights and low reps, I thought it might be good to switch to lighter weights and then up the reps.

so basically my question is how low should I go? 50%?

Im basically doing 4 -5 sets of 4-5 reps at the moment.

How many reps are you looking to switch to per set?8?10?12?15?
In general 65% is about the lowest I'd go for anything other than active recovery work and at at that percentage I'd be doing 15 reps per set, I feel I must add that I would only go to such a low 1rm %age as part of a periodized and progressing program such as HST and would be adding a minimum of 2-5% to the load each workout.

I'd give it more than a week tho unless it's for rehab work . You may very well want to look into HST for a cycle . Personally I tend to switch between HST and 10x3's every 2-3 months (after a 9-14 day rest) hope this helps or gives food for thought in some way.

Sorry man what is HST?

and its not for rehab or any recovery from injury. Just wanted to try something different. I will shoot for a weight where i can do 3x10 reps.
