i injected in my glute like 3 days ago and there is still some pain. when i touch the injection spot it hurts and feels hard. is that normal???

thanks
BJ

Was it your first inject? Could be your body just reacting, could be you didn't get it far enough in the muscle, could be dirty gear.

I always lump up when injecting my glutes. My fiance says I have a third ass while on cycle.

Yes, a small lump and a small amount of pain is normal...At least for me. Keep an eye open for swelling and redness. If so it could be an infection.

I'm not sure how people could be so unsanitary as to get all these infections...

I'm convinced you need to wash your hands and put on nylon or latex gloves before you touch anything.

and even then don't directly touch the needle, only the barrel.

Don't complicate it to much.

1. Wash hands
2. Use only sterile syringes and needles and never touch the needle
3. Swab your vials with alcohol prior to pulling then recap needle
4. Swab inject site and pin

I'd like to add to that, wear nylon/latex gloves,

and

If you accidently touch the needle, throw it out.

Hence NEVER touch the needle. Gloves are overkill if you follow the above steps.

I have to agree here. If you're even half-intelligent, there's absolutely no need for gloves.

Hence the reason Dyl needs gloves.

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Go back to open chat and never post here again.

I agree that you don't absolutely need them, but I find them to be a good practice.

Once you put the gloves on it a psychological thing really. You get serious about what you are doing.

SORRY, i meant to say i DID follow all the steps and even more

It will pass.

Yea Billy, you should be good to go. Like I said it happens to me on almost every glute injection.
