Did my shoulder workout friday and left shoulder hurting me today. Not a normal muscle discomfort from lifting but it hurts in the rear delt area while lifting my arm front and lateral without weights now.
Excercizes were
Arnold presses
front dumbell raise
lateral dumbell raise
upright rows

from what ive read it doesnt seem to be in the rotator cuff area, more at the back of the shoulder

Anyone have any input ,
cause I don't wanna give up any days of lifting

Thanks

how bad does it hurt? Do you think it's just hurt or is it an injury? and if you feel it hurt while doing some lifts, then don't do them. the problem will only get worse

Maybe some sort of impingment? But of course the doctor would be able to tell ya.

I'd say it is a pinched nerve. i've had the same problem. Rest, mine stopepd hurting after 1week of resting(well i did light training).

well I did some flat dumbell presses, pushups. just to see, Little pain there.
Noticed if my arm is completely straight forward as raise arm. I have no pain.
But if arm is slightly bent and raise , then there is discomfort....

you are not feeling this in the joint are you? or is it the muscle..

I'd say that your workout sucks ass and you need to learn to plan better.

You shoulder probably hurts from several crappy workouts like this over and extended period of time.

no pain is not in the joint..
Thanks P. always looking for this kind of help

Then if this is the wrong workout then how about some pointers. that is why I am on the forum for help.

Have you read the stickies?

We talk extensively about balancing out the shoulder movements between push and pull and the importance of this balance (preferably in the same workout) as it pertains to optimal shoulder health.
