![]() PRIDE For Sale? What We Know Options: March 20, 2007 by Greg Savage and Josh Gross After the Sherdog Radio Network broached the subject Monday morning, the mixed martial arts world reacted strongly to rumors of an impending sale of PRIDE FC to Frank and Lorenzo Fertitta for an estimated $65 million. While the Fertittas, Zuffa and UFC have remained silent, PRIDE USA vice president Jerry Millen offered a strong denial of the sale to graciefighter.com early Tuesday morning. "You can't beleive [sic] what you read on the Internet and as a matter of fact I just got off the phone with Japan and PRIDE has not been sold and is not being sold to anyone, especially to Zuffa," Millen exclaimed. "We are in the process of making some ground breaking deals that will be bringing in large sums of revenue to the company and making it stronger than ever." |

Does PRIDE still "own" UFC BigDyl? ![]() |

I like to read MMA weekly over sherdog, because they have no financial interest in what they report. Sherdog has money tied up in some of their programs, the reporters, and of course their website ... so it sorta taints what they print. For example, they posted the piece with Dana White as the gospel ... the one where Dana said the deal was unlikely and that you can't believe everything you read because it was made to THEIR reporter and would bring them more peeps to their site. He was lying through his teeth, yet sherdog printed that like it was solid.
MMA weekly is more accurate than most other online MMA news sources, and even say outright if they quote a doubtful source that it is in fact a questionable source. |

I agree MMA Weekly is defintely more accurate when it comes to news, but their rankings are poor at best.

Re-order them as you like. We can take a look at what you come up with and see if we agree.
I'm not off on a challenge, and I'm not trying to defend MMA weekly. This is just pure conversation about the rankings ... |
