Can anyone help me out, I'm going to Hawaii in the beginning of July.

Can anyone help me out with foods that are simple to carry around or to obtain, so I can still eat 5-6 meals a day while I'm there???

GOOD foods by the way, I'm sure I won't have trouble finding plenty of crap.

The good thing about going away is usually the food. If you are going to a resort, there should be buffets with healthy choices like salads, fruits and vegetables, and probably fresh stuff, which is always nice. Any resort will prepare stuff for you the way you like if you ask them, so getting chicken, etc. probably shouldn't be hard. You can always ask for entrees without sauces, and keep the booze to a minimum. As for otherwise, take MRP's with you if you think you will need them. If you aren't staying at a resort, just treat it as if you are at home and grocery shop properly. Hawaii isn't really the ends of the Earth, so you shouldn't have a problem. Number one thing is to have fun and relax!

If this is a vacation, what I do is bring protein bars and shakes, and use them in between meals....not the best, but it is a vacation

That's true, I wasn't too worried about fruits and vegetables, and I realize that Hawaii is a very nice place, I was just worried about being able to obtain enough protein whenever I need it.

Thanks w8 and pony, yeah protein shakes is definitely an idea.

try to eat the highest quality protein sources available. but remember that alcohol consumption severly hampers the digestion of proteins. so try not to drink to much alcohol to close before or during meals.

Don't worry about alcohol I hate drinking and am underage anyways so that's not a problem.

Unless you have an upcoming show, I'd just say enjoy your vacation and don't worry about eating perfect every day. You are young, it won't hurt your body to turn it loose for a week.

If it's a vacation why not just throw your diet out the window and have a fun vacation?

most likely the hotel room will not have a kitchen.

Not all hotels will have kitchen, depending on your budget and where you go....but most will have a fridge..

I know it's vacation and I have one coming up too, but I want to try to still get my 5-6 meals in and eat as clean as possible too. It is definitely harder to find protein when you are out and about or are always on the go. I think I'm more concerned about snack time because usually you can get decent stuff at restaurants.

So protein options that I've found are:
* protein bars
* rtd shakes or protein powder ..both as mentioned by w8
* tuna in those vacuum seal packs that you can rip open
* find a good supermarket with a decent deli that have the chicken breast, etc. made and bring it to your hotel and keep in the fridge and take with you the next day maybe in a cooler.
* cottage cheese

well i understand not all hotels have a kitchen... but if your so worried about what you eat then you should try to find one.. also I just got back from hawaii at the beginning of may and on both islands i was on maui and oahu.. i stayed in a hotel with a kitchen that was around 80 a night.. so it can be done...
