And how long have you been at a caloric deficit for? After 3 months at a significant deficit, your results are going to come to a screeching hault. You need to slwoly up your cals 200 per week unti lyou hit maintenance, then drop back down slowly. It is almost like reseting your body... and as DD said, weight training helps burn that stubborn fat. I have cut out ALOT of cardio from my training and replaced it with hard weight training and am still seeing pretty good fat loss.

You may burn more calories doing boxing, but thats not the main point. The main point is adding lean body mass and upping your caloric maintenece.
Besdies if you are just losing weight you go from a large pear to a small pear. Losing weight does not reshape the body, weight lifting does. |

ok then so more weight training how do i go about making a program i dont know nothing do you know of a good book or work out i could try

Well you could start by reading the stickies at the top of the training forum.
Another option is talk to a personal trainer at your gym. Its not very easy to throw a workout program out there because people who are starting weight training, normally have lots of different muscle imbalances which can lead to injury. In your best interest I would see a trainer and have him/her evaluate you. |
