What in your opinion is the best late night snack, or some of the best. Im trying to lose weight, and I want to avoid too much sugar (fruits) and too mugh carbs close to bed. whats a good 9 pm snack?

The best pre-bed snack is a portion of lean red meat and a slow burning protien like milk or a casien shake. Even a handfull of almonds or tablespoon of naty PB with a glass of lowfat milk or a casien shake. If I don't have casien around, I'll have to settle for good old whey. Just get something in because your body is working off of nothing for 8 hours.

I eat 1 cup of FF cottage cheese and 2 tbsp of natty PB before I hit the sack.

Ahh yes, and cottage cheese... lol I refuse to eat the shit so I forgot to mention it... but yes.

Take one cup of non-fat cottage cheese and a 6oz container of fat-free yogurt. I find that Dannon Light and Fit works best. Then mix the two together and chow down. Its a symphony of flavor. I usually add 5-10 almonds for some good fat, and boom boom out go the lights!!

Actually lean meat isnt the best before bed. A good piece of meat with a good portion of the % being fat is best and skip the almonds. Theres your fat source. Ask Jodi about this one.

I like and agree with this post minus the red meat.

Actually red meat with a good amount of fat in it is great before bed time.

Yea maybe DD. I'm not a nutrionist so I won't say much on the meat thing or blindly agree. You may very well be right but I personallydon't know so I can't agree on that. I only state what I know to be fact. And again the meat thing may be 100% true but I just don't know so I won't pretend to. That is why I didn't endorse the idea.
