Excercise/Diet Plan..

A little background about me, I'm 21, I'm a college student, living on my own. I'm 5'2, 160lbs, and 22% body fat. I want to lose weight, but my weight always fluctuates. Two years ago, I was this weight, then last year I dropped down to 125-ish, and then I'm back to this weight. I was able to lose all that weight in a few months from playing sports every other day.

I'm more of a short and stock guy. I mess around and wrestle all the time, and would maybe go into some form of boxing/wrestling.

With that being said, I want to go down to 120-ish. Could someone please tell me which excercises I should do, what days, and how often? I'm pretty motivated to do it, because I have a lot more free time now.

Also, what meals should I be eating? I can cook, but I need something that nutritious and cheap. I don't care about taste, because it seems like I've been eating cardboard for the last few months anyways. I also want to try to go away from supplements, just because of the fact that I can't afford them. Please also post up with you eat, and any supplements you may use.

Thanks a lot guys.

hey dude, what are your goals?
just to lose weight or what?
If your serious about fighting, you need to train hard. I know MMAs and grapplers train intensly.

My short term plans are to lose weight. I don't know what the future would hold though, so as of now, I just want to lose weight.

IMO You should focus on losing fat, not just [weight.] Your best bet is to read the stickies and come up with a balanced meal plan then post it back here. People will critique it and then you have your final plan to start working with. You may also want to start off with a light training schedule. Read the stickies in the fitness section to get that going.

Hey ABCs,
Thanks for the advice. I looked at the stickies, and as a college student, I don't have the money right now to spend $40 on a book. :-\ Are there any other resources to know where I can start with my new diet?

Thanks again..

That's what you want to be reading. I forgot they took it off the stickies. Read that, develop a plan and post here.

Buy "Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle"by Tom Venuto. Read it. Change your life accordingly. You'll eat more than you've ever eaten, be sprouting muscle mass all over you and the fat will just fall off. I went from 194lb(20%bf) to 169lb(8%bf) in 3 months. I have abs! Who knew!?

Seriously though, get that book and read it. It will change your life. After you know what your body does when you eat various things, you simply won't want to eat a lot of the things you used to eat. It'll all make sense. Trust me. Losing body fat is cake. You just need some training. And who better than a man who got his body fat down to 3.7%, drug-free, while eating a shit-load of food!?
